Daniel Craig

Born on March 2, 1968, Daniel Craig grew up in England and studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After graduating in 1991, Craig landed some minor roles on the BBC. From there, a film career blossomed, and he starred in hit films including Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Road to Perdition.

In 2006, Craig successfully starred as the new James Bond in Casino Royale, following in the footsteps of Pierce Brosnan, who assumed the role in 2002. The film became the fifth best selling Bond film out of the 21 previous hits.

Craig was married to British actress Fiona Loudon, but has dated producer Satsuki Mitchell — who worked on his 2005 thriller The Jacket — since 2005. In June 2011 he wed actress Rachel Weisz in upstate New York.
