Emergency Preparedness
This page serves as a resource for communications and information on emergency preparedness at the University of Illinois Springfield. It is part of the university’s overall communications infrastructure for ensuring important information and additional resources are available to the university community and the public in the event of an emergency situation.
UIS Emergency Notification System
The UIS Emergency Notification System is used to quickly deliver critical information to the UIS campus community. Anytime there is an immediate or impending threat to the UIS Campus, the UIS Police will send out an alert using our Emergency Notification System in order to keep the community well informed and as safe as possible. The system in place utilizes multiple emergency notification services in order to be as efficient as possible. These services can deliver information in the form of text messages, emails, social media accounts, digital signage on campus, and informational banners on the UIS webpage. The system will only be used for emergency communications. For more information on the UIS Emergency Notification System, please go to Features of UIS-Alert Emergency Notification System.
