What a brilliant experience we have just had. With being self employed the process is longer and more complicated but we were helped along the way fantastically and kept up to date at all stages. I recieved my mortgage offer yesterday. It was a bit of a bumpy ride to begin witn and it took some time, not because of L&C but the initial lender declined to offer the mortgage after agreeing in principal for a very silly reason. However, I recieved a call from my mortgage adviser Daniel Popham, who was very professional, knowledgable. He informed me about a plan B and he did it and it worked, he already spoke to the new lender and gathered information about their criteria and within 2 weeks I got the offer. well done Daniel Popham and thanks.
My case Manager was Renee Fisher who had excellent communication skills and kept me well informed.
Im glad I chose L&C because I would've given up after the first lenders rejected the offer. They have saved me time and money. I highly recommend them and I will use them again when I'm ready for my 2nd property.

Fab service from Marius who talked me step by step through the process. He spent time understanding my needs and requirements for a new deal and found the perfect fit for me. No pressure quote. Great experience from start - with mortgage adviser Matthew Binney and Case Manager Louise Brown together with help of their associates - to finish.
They advised me both with a remortgage of my old house and at the same time manage to secure an additional new mortgage on a new property.
Despite hurdles and external legal conveyancing who made the mortgage process very stressful
London and Country's team managed to proceed to a very successful result and kept me updated throughout the whole time.

I can't recommend L&C highly enough.
As first time buyers, getting a mortgage was one of several very daunting steps in the process - but L&C were absolutely fantastic from start to finish.
Everything was progressed rapidly and our Mortgage Expert was friendly, informative and always available for queires. We'd initially considered going with a local mortgage broker but would've still been waiting for our first appointment with them in the time it took to get a mortgage application through using L&C!

10 long weeks locked in mortgage process with this broker. Don’t be sucked in by the seemingly better rates and no fee. The legals cost too much and delay the whole process. Once the initial consultant has reeled you in, you don’t hear from them.

We started a mortgage loan with L&C in July 2024. We received a mortgage in principle from them and began our hunt for a flat. We had an offer approved on a flat and notified L&C. Soon after alerting them, they informed us that our broker was no longer with the company and we were moved to a new agent. This new agent basically had to start from scratch and found that the prior agent hadn't done his due diligence and that now we were approved for about 60k less than what the original agent said which meant that we had to come up with 60k more for the deposit.
A few months later we were moved to a more senior agent. After 6 long months and after providing all of the documents they requested, we were rejected by the bank because they didn't feel that our brand new construction flat met their fire safety regulations.
We will most likely lose the flat we made an offer on thanks to L&C.
