INVESTING SHOW: Why has the US stock market soared while UK shares have fallen behind?
The coronavirus crash has proved short lived for the US stock market, as its global tech giant members have driven a strong rebound to new record highs.
At the same time, the UK is still in the doldrums with the FTSE 100 knocking on the trap door of the 6,000 level again.
So why has the US market soared, do the big tech firms justify the run, is the Fed's cheap money a safe bet, and are investors paying significant attention to the damage that coronavirus has done to the American economy?
Richard Hunter explains to Simon Lambert what's happened to send the likes of Apple, Amazon, Facebook and Tesla soaring.
And the pair discuss why the UK has lagged behind and why our consumer dependent economy suffered much worse than others from lockdown.
Tech titans: Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook, Tesla, Netflix, Apple and Google are now worth more than $7trillion
