Ree Drummond's kids have been the heart of the Drummond Ranch since the day they were born.
Alex, Paige, Bryce, and Todd were riding horses with their dad, Ladd, and cooking dinner alongside their mom long before Ree became The Pioneer Woman. So when film crews for her Food Network show first entered the picture, the kids were totally "unfazed." In fact, Ree says they're naturals on camera!
It's now been nearly a decade since The Pioneer Woman first aired. Lately, the kids have been helping Ree film her show, and she's loved every minute of teasing them about pimentos and trying to embarrass them. What are moms for if not to get a rise out of their children from time to time!?
There's also a new member of the household for Ree to share her motherly love with: Jamar. Ree's foster son joined the Drummond family more than a year and a half ago and has since become an inextricable part of their wacky lives.
But with one daughter living on her own, two kids in college, and two sons in high school, it's getting harder and harder to get all the Drummonds together in one place.
"These days, with the kids off in different directions, I’m happy with a kiss on the cheek from whatever child is around," Ree says.
Although they're all juggling their own activities, Alex, Paige, Bryce, Jamar, and Todd know their home will always be on the ranch, where Ree, Ladd, and their dogs will be waiting. Get to know each of Ree's kids and see why being a mother is her favorite job.
Alex
- Age: 23
- Fun fact: Her favorite room at The Boarding House is The Butterfly Room.
Alex is Ree and Ladd's oldest. She left the Drummond Ranch after high school to attend Texas A&M University, where she met some of her closest friends and her longtime "friend"-turned-fiancé (😂) Mauricio. After graduating in 2019, she moved to Dallas where she lives and works. Alex could never stray too far from the ranch, though—she's getting married there in May!
Paige
- Age: 21
- Fun fact: She's a pro at making her mom’s famous chocolate sheet cake.
Paige is the second-oldest of the Drummond kids. She's more than halfway through her third year at the University of Arkansas and letting her go was "no picnic" for Ree. When she's not participating in sorority activities, Paige loves snowboarding; she frequents Vail, Colorado with her friends and family. She pretends to be embarrassed by her mom's quirky on-camera antics, but we all know she secretly loves helping her film.
Bryce
- Age: 18
- Fun fact: He graduated high school one semester early.
Bryce is the oldest of Ree and Ladd's boys, and just finished his senior year. He played quarterback for the Pawhuska Huskies the past four years before moving on to the University of North Texas. Now, Bryce is busy training in the college's Mean Green football program! Although he's a star on the field, Ree says that Bryce is "at his most grown up" when he's working on the ranch.
Jamar
- Age: 18
- Fun fact: He loves fishing and stevia-sweetened root beer.
Jamar is Ree and Ladd's "bodacious, bright, brilliant bonus kid." He and Bryce are just a month apart in age and played football together (along with Todd!) at Pawhuska High School. Although Jamar has overcome some difficulties through the years, Ree says that he is larger than life, has a hilarious laugh, and is extremely smart.
Todd
- Age: 17
- Fun fact: He's an award-winning wrestler.
Todd is the baby of the family, but he still towers over his mom and older sisters. He's wrapping up his junior year, and is following in his big brother's footsteps by playing quarterback for the Huskies. Todd also loves skiing, hanging out with his friends, and horsing around with the dogs on the Drummond Ranch.
Ree may secretly wish that all of her kids could stay little forever, but deep down she's proud to have raised such a fun-loving family.
"While it's absolutely painful to see how grown up they all are, it's a wonderful feeling to see the people they're becoming," she says.
