What is Sky Sports+?
Sky Sports just got even better with new live streams and a dedicated channel, Sky Sports +. You can watch over 1,000 live EFL games including every Carabao Cup fixture, every match from the men’s Rugby Super League and over 100 tennis tournaments across the US Open, ATP and WTA tours. It offers the capability to show up to 100 live events simultaneously making it easier for fans to follow their teams and sports.
What is included in Sky Sports+?
This year Sky Sports+ will bring you:
- 4 times more EFL matches, including every Carabao Cup fixture & all 72 teams featured over 20 times a season.
- Every match from the men’s Rugby Super League and coverage from the ATP & WTA Tours, US Open, PGA Tour and more
- Giving you exclusive access to Sky’s greatest sports documentaries at least 2 weeks before anyone else
How do I get Sky Sports+?
Sky Sports+ will be included in a full Sky Sports subscription at no extra cost. For contract-free access to all Sky Sports channels.
If you have the Sky Sports Premier League, Football, Golf, Action, Cricket, or F1 pack, you’ll need to upgrade to the full Sky Sports package to access Sky Sports+.
I already have Sky Sports; do I get Sky Sports+ too?
If you already have a full Sky Sports subscription, you’re all set! Sky Sports+ will automatically be added to your current Sky experience on Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Sky Q,.
However, if you have a single sports pack subscription, you’ll need to upgrade to the full Sky Sports pack to enjoy Sky Sports+.
Does the Sky Sports+ App use mobile data for Sky Mobile customers?
Like Sky Go, Sky Sports+ does not use up Sky mobile customers data.
Can I get instant access to Sky Sports + through the app after purchasing Sky Sports?
Yes, you can stream Sky Sports+ through the Mobile app, and watch the live channel via Sky Go.
Is this a new streaming service?
No, Sky Sports+ isn’t a separate service. It’s included in your TV and the Sky Sports mobile app if you have a full Sky Sports subscription.
What about Sky+ customers?
Sky+ customers with a full Sky Sports subscription will receive the new Sky Sports+ channel at no extra cost. While Sky+ doesn’t support the additional live streams, you can still enjoy them on your mobile or tablet through the Sky Sports app.
If you are a current Sky+ customer, you have the option to upgrade to Sky Q at no extra cost, or you can choose to stay with your existing Sky+ box package.
What content will be shown on the Sky Sports+ channel?
Sky Sports+ live channel will show EFL, men’s Rugby Super League, tennis and more. With more detail on exact scheduling to be announced closer to launch.
Will customers need to login to the Sky Sports TV app?
If you have the full Sky Sports pack, Sky Sports+ will be automatically added to your TV app—no need to log in! If you don’t have the required pack, you’ll be given the option to upgrade and will need to log in with your Sky ID on the Mobile App.
Can you stream Sky Sports+ on Sky Go?
While you will receive the Sky Sports+ channel, the streams won’t be available on Sky Go. However, you can still enjoy a great streaming experience on the go with the Sky Sports Mobile App.
How many devices can I stream at the same time, on the Sky Sports app?
Up to 6 users can log in to the Sky Sports app, however only two fixtures can be streamed at the same time. Further detail can be found here
Where can I access the Sky Sports app?
You can access Sky Sports+ on your smartphone or tablet by downloading the Sky Sports app.
The Sky Sports app is currently not available on any gaming consoles.
Do I need to upgrade my broadband speed to watch Sky Sports+?
For the best streaming experience with Sky Sports+, we recommend the following broadband speeds:

What are the camera and commentary requirements for Sky Sports broadcasts and streams of EFL matches?
For games broadcast on our existing TV channels, Sky Sports will use a minimum of eight cameras to cover each match. For matches available to stream, you’ll enjoy Sky commentary with a minimum of four cameras for Championship and League One matches, and at least two cameras for League Two matches.
