    What is Sixth sense Technology?


    All of us are aware of the five basic senses seeing, feeling, smelling, tasting and hearing. But there is also another sense called the sixth sense Technology. It is basically a connection to something greater than what their physical senses are able to perceive. Sixth Sense / WUW which is a wearable gestural , user friendly interface which links the physical world around us with digital information and uses hand gestures to interact with them.

    How it was developed?


    The purpose of this technology was to simplify day-to-day tasks and integrate them with the virtual world.

    This technology was developed by the ball of mouse and placed them in a line attaching them by some strings, pulleys and springs into a motion sensing device. The axial rollers found in the ball mouse were used to replicate the gestures made with hand on the computer.

    Working Of This Technology?


    The Sixth Sense prototype consists of a pocket projector, mirror and a camera. The device is pendant shaped. Both the projector and the camera are connected to the mobile computing device in the users pocket.

    The projector projects visual Information enabling surfaces, walls and physical objects around us to be used as interfaces.

    What are Functions?


    The aim behind this technology is objects around you displaying information automatically and letting you access in your way. The paper work are directly synchronized with the computer or a scheduling device which can also be organized effortlessly.

    The camera recognizes objects around you instantly, with the microprojector overlaying the information on any surface, including the object itself or your hand. Then, you can access or manipulate the information using your fingers. Simply you need to make a square with your finger and with the help of camera through position it captures the photo.

    If you want to make a call then simply extend your hand in front of the projector & then number will appears you can easily have dial those number and make call.

    Just by making a circle on your wrist you will be able to see watch on your wrist and easily see the time.

    It is blessing for book lovers as by opening any page the device will interact and shows the information about text, comments and features.

    By using a digital pen we can draw a 3 dimensional image. This technology also brings the google map into physical world. Example: 1) if we place a boarding pass on the map itll show us our flight gate. 2) if we place a coffee cup itll show us the nearest place to get coffee.

    Another best task that this technology can do by holding any product we can easily know the quality and contents of that product. By this technology we dont read the newspaper but we can also make the newspaper audio and visualize.

    This latest six sense technology shows real and current information of flight or any boarding pass by just holding the ticket and its data will be displayed automatically.

    We can watch movies, play games or even surf the net using just a blank sheet of paper as an interface.

    One incredible function is by using freehand gestures information or pictures from different source and placing it together on one interface either in computer screen or a paper.

    Pros
    To a layman, it would be something supernatural. It shows the portability. It can be easily interact with the physical world. Few instruments are required to this technology.

    Cons
    Misuse can be done for criminal purposes.

    Summary

    The main aim of six sense technology is to interact with the physical world.

    People are not interested in computing rather than information so this technology is the blessings.
