San Sebastian
•Saint Sebastian was an
early Christian saint and
martyr. According to
traditional belief, he was
killed during the Diocletianic
Persecution of Christians.
•Sebastian was ordered to be killed
by arrows for converting his fellow
Roman soldiers to Christianity. He
was left for dead by the archers but
was rehabilitated by a pious widow.
Following his recovery, he
presented himself to Diocletian and
was subsequently beaten to death.
•The Diocletianic or Great
Persecution was the last and
most severe persecution of
Christians in the Roman
Empire.

A. The Creation in six
days and a Day of Rest
What does the Holy Bible
teaches about creation?
The Holy Bible teaches that
God created the world in 6
days and rested on the
seventh day.
Day 1:
God divided the light from
darkness. Having brought
forth Heaven and a formless,
water-covered Earth, He
created the light.
Day 2:
God divided the waters from
above and below to create
the firmament of Heaven.
He created the Sky.
Day 3:
God created dry
land, then grass,
flowers and trees.
Day 4:
God created the sun,
the moon and the
stars.
Day 5:
God created the
birds and the fish.
Day 6:
God created the
animals and then
man.
Day 7:
On the seventh
day, God rested.
B. The Sacred Teachings on
the six days of Creation and
a day of Rest
1. God begins to manifest Himself as Three
persons in One God.
•The first book of the Sacred Scriptures does
not only present the creation of the world
we live in, but also the existence of God. In
the first chapter of Genesis, the first book
of the Bible, God reveals himself as one.
Thus, there is no other God, except Him.
•However, there are signs that speak
of Him as three divine persons. He
is the only God, but he appears to
be three different persons. After
many years, He manifested Himself
in the clearest way through the
revelation of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Genesis Chapter 1 The “us” and the “our” speak of many
“Then God said, :Let us make man in persons;
our image, after our likeness. It manifest plurality
There is the mystery in God; He is one,
yet seems to be many.
“the earth was formless and empty The “Spirit” represents the Holy Spirit of
and darkness was upon the abyss God “hovering over” the “waters”.
(bangin). And the Spirit of God The “waters” speaks of “chaos.” The
hovered over the waters. Holy Sirit, represented by the “Spirit,”
gives “order” to the chaotic world.
•In the Creation Narrative, there is the
revelation of God:
a. The One who creates, the Creator,
b. The powerful Word by which
everything is created; and
c. The mighty Spirit (or Wind) that gives
order to chaos.
•In the proper time, the Creator,
the Word, and the Spirit of God
shall present themselves as the
Father, and the Son, and the Holy
Spirit, the three Persons in one
God.
• Thus, after centuries as written in the New
Testament, we find the following texts:
John Chapter 1: 1-4
In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was
with God. And the Word was God. He was in the
beginning with God. Everything came to be through
Him. And apart from him nothing came to be. And
the Word became flesh and dwelt within us. And we
saw His glory, the glory of the only begotten Son of
the Father, full of grace and truth.
