Madeira, the “floating garden” or the “pearl of the Atlantic”, is a unique sub-tropical paradise in the Atlantic Ocean with
dramatic and breathtaking scenery (57km long/22 km wide). Its mild climate, average temperatures of 25ºC in the summer
and 17ºC in the winter, make it the ideal island for a relaxing or active break at any time of the year.
Madeira’s lush vegetation hides the fascinating indigenous Laurel Forest, a UNESCO’s Natural World Heritage Site since 1999.
Diving, surfing, canyoning, walking in the mountains or by the sea, are just some of the possible activities to enjoy on this
island. Swimming in the ocean or in natural rock pools, strolling through colourful gardens, tasting the well known Madeira
fortified Wine and trying the traditional gastronomy will fulfill your senses and create a happy state of mind.
Funchal, the capital city and its bay, where architecture and nature are charmingly combined, invites you for a delightful
stroll, discovering the narrow traffic-free streets paved with black and white mosaics and lined by jacaranda trees. In the old
town, the Farmer’s Market offers you a display of the great variety of local flowers, fruit and vegetables, the result of
Madeira’s rich volcanic soil.

Transfer Santana > Pico das Pedras

Walk to Caldeirão Verde. No guide.
Transfer from Ilha > Santana
Overnight at O Colmo.

DAY 4 – THURSDAY (08/12) FULL DAY – PICO DO ARIEIRO - PICO RUIVO
Transfer Santana > Pico do Arieiro

Transfer Achada do Teixeira > São Vicente, driving through the north coast.
Overnight at São Vicente at Estalagem do Vale

If the group has more that 12 pax we must use the Mini Bus 22 pax because of luggage transportation.
DAY 5 – FRIDAY (09/12) FULL DAY – ACHADAS DA CRUZ + PORTO MONIZ
Transfer São Vicente > Achadas da Cruz

No guide.
Transfer from Porto Moniz > São Vicente

DAY 6 – SATURDAY (10/12) FULL DAY – CITY TOUR + CURRAL DAS FREIRAS – PICO GRANDE
09:00 - Morning walking tour of city center with local guide. Visit the local Market, painted doors in the old town, Cathedral and main
attractions and local biscuits factory (biscuits taste).
11:00 - Tour in minibus to Eira do Serrado, Curral das Freiras and Hike to Pico Grande.
Moderate to difficult Hike – Elevation from 640m to 1652m (about 5 Km climbing) and return.
Price for walking tour accompanied by a local guide (biscuits taste) + private transportation + guided hike:

The hotel is located in a narrow street. In this case the transfer will be made in 2 x 8 seater mini vans.

Above mentioned rates are net, in Euros, valid for 2022 based on a minimum occupancy of passengers per van/bus, and
include all taxes known at the time of this proposal:
A supplement of 30% will be charged when the transfers take place between 9pm-7am.
 A supplement for the guide of 30% will be charged when the excursions take place on Sundays or public holidays.

• English speaking guide where mentioned;
• Service charge on restaurants;
• 3-course meals, when included, (soup, main course, dessert, ½ bottle of wine or beer or soft drink, mineral water and
coffee);
