Understanding Communication According to Experts

1. James A. F. Stoner 
According to James A. F. Stoner, the notion of communication
is a process in which someone tries to provide understanding
and information by conveying messages to others.
2. Anderson
According to Anderson, the notion of communication is a series of
steps for the handover of intentions that occurs dynamically and
constantly changes according to prevailing conditions.
3. Aristotle 
According to Aristotle, the definition of communication is a
business that functions as a tool for citizens to participate in
democracy.
 
Communication is the process of transferring messages from
the communicator to the recipient/communicant. However, in
this process, there are elements, concepts, processes, and goals
type of communication
1 Verbal Communication 

Verbal communication is
communication that is used by using
verbal symbols and using words from
one or more languages. 
2 Nonverbal Communication 

Non-verbal communication is
communication that is done by using non-
verbal messages to convey information. The
way to do this non-verbal communication is
without using words or issuing sentences
from the mouth.
3 Written

Written communication is the act of writing, typing


or printing symbols such as letters and numbers to
convey information. This is helpful because it
provides a record of information for reference.
4 Visual

Visual communication is the act of using photos,


art, drawings, sketches, charts, and graphs to
convey information. Visuals are often used as an
aid during presentations to provide helpful context
in addition to written and/or verbal communication.
Communication Purpose

Communication enables us to understand and acquire knowledge and


understanding of information. Communication is impossible without
language and “with language, any message, however complex, can
be conveyed”. Communication can be anything from yelling at other
people to sending emails.
Understanding Business Communication

Business communication is the process of sharing


information between people inside and outside the
business. Effective business communication is the way
employees and management interact to achieve
business goals.The goal is to improve business
practices and reduce errors
Business Communication Purposes

In a business, communication is one of the important


factors in the success of business achievement. With good
communication, business people can sell their products
better and can also avoid misunderstandings between the
two parties.
