    Poor Indoor Coverage

    INTRODUCTION

    This report shows the exact network experienced at Hosanna House, Igbo Oloyin Ibadan Oyo state.

    Test was carried out to show the exact network situation within the area.

    Complaint Coordinate: Latitude: 7.5519378 Longitude: 3.9715803

    However a walk test was carried out for Data and Voice to ascertain the radio condition for indoor.

    The following test scenarios were carried out.

    MS1 = 2G Voice, MS2 = 3G Voice, MS3= 3G DATA, MS4=4G

    BSERVATIONS AND OPTIMIZATIION

    OBSERVATIONS
     The customer complained about poor download throughput indoor.
     However test was carried out at her premises for all technologies (2G,3G,4G).
     Good 2G,3G coverage and quality was observed while poor coverage on 4G was experienced indoor during the test.
     OY2858 sector 3 was serving on 3G/2G during the pre and post test.
     Fair download throughput was experienced during the pre test, however there was improvement after on download after optimization on OY2858.
     OY2858 is 2G/3G enabled site, no 4G technology on OY2858.
     OY2858 is 790m to complaint location.
     The closest 4G site to complaint location is 3.6km away.
     OY2858 sector 1 is now serving on U2100 while OY2858 sector 3 is serving on U900 at customer location.

    INDOOR
     The overall 2G coverage and quality experienced indoor is poor during the pre test as RxLev >-95dBm for pre = 98.48% which improved to 100%
    during the post test, RxQual < 5dB for pre =100% and remain on post test to 100%.
     The overall 3G coverage experienced indoor is good during pre test as RSCP >-95dBm for pre = 100% which improved to 100% during the post test .
    Poor quality as EC/LO >-16dB for pre = 88.66% which improved on post test to 100%.
     3G data experienced as Throughput value > 1mbps is 78.18% during pre and improved to 100% during post test.
     The overall 4G coverage and quality experience indoor is poor as UE goes to “EMERGENCY MODE” when locked on 4G throughout the test indoor.
    Could not establish download cant be done on this mode

    ONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATION

    OPTIMIZATION
     Azimuth was changed on OY2858(U900) sector 3 for 300 to 310 .
     Azimuth was changed on OY2858(U2100) sector 1 for 340 to 330 .
     See slide seven and eight (7) for audit and optimization details.

    CONCLUSION
     From the post test conducted shows that there is improved presence of 2G,3G MTN network at compliant permises as UE experienced good coverage
    and quality on 2G technology with Rxlevel >-95dBm= 100%, RxQual < 5 = 100%; 3G coverage as RSCP >-95dBm = 100%, Ec/Io at -16dB =100%.
     4G coverage and quality experienced indoor is remain poor because UE goes to “EMERGENCY MODE” when locked on 4G throughout the test
    indoor.
     There is improvement on 3G coveage and quality after optimization.
     3G download throughput improved after optimization.

    RECOMMENDATION
     Deploy the 4G network on OY2858 to improve the data experience around the complaint location.
