1991 – the year when Capellan Institute of
Technology has been established at Pasig City.
Founder: Engr. Benedicto A. Capellan and Mrs.
Candelaria Capellan
2006 – the year when San Pablo City branch has
been established.
Our Mission
 We are an Educational Institution that aims to provide the
Filipino youth with competitive skills in the technological
workplace. We are committed to the preparation of our
youth to the existing and future challenges brought by the
advancement of global science and technology by providing
them with the adequate instructions and training.
 We recognize that youth are the prime movers of the

country. As such, we focus on their complete personal


development and inculcate the values of professionalism in
their related fields.

ACTIVITIES
COMPETENCY BASED TRAINING (CBT)

 It is a training delivery approach that focuses on the


competency development of the learner as a result of
the training.
 It focuses on outcomes rather than the learning

process within the specified time.


 It is concerned with the attainment and application of

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL and ATTITUDE to a specific level


of competency.
10 principle of Competency Based Training ( CBT )

1. Learning is based on competency- based curriculum.


2. Learning is competency-based or modular in
structure.
3. Training delivery is individualized and self-paced.
4. Training is based on the actual industry practice.
5. Training materials are directly related to the
competency standards and the curriculum.

6. Assessment of learners are based in the collection of evidence


of work performance based on the industry or organizational
required standards.
7. Training is based on and off the job components.
8. The system allows ( RPL ) RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
9. The system allows for learner to enter and exit programs at
different times and level and to received an award of competencies
attained at any point.
10. Approved training programs are nationally accredited .
ROLE OF THE TRAINER

 Serves as a team member to determine what is to be learned


 Stimulates trainees’ motivation.
 Diagnose and solves learning problems
 Evaluates student achievement
 Assist learners to obtain individualized rewards
 Assist each trainee in designing a personalized plan of study
ROLES OF THE TRAINEES

1. Trainees may select what they want to learn and when they want
to learn it, within reason
2. Trainees learn at their own rate within program guidelines. They
may speed up, slow down, stop or even repeat a task
3. Trainees are responsible for what they learn and when they learn it

4. Trainees may choose how they want to learn-individually, on a


one- to-one basis, in small group, in large groups or with audio-
visuals
5. Trainees know they will be rated mainly on performance, while
paper and pencil tests will be used mainly to check their
knowledge of the task.
