Modular learning involves individualized instruction through self-learning modules that can be accessed in print or digital format. The teacher monitors learner progress and provides assistance via email, phone, or home visits for those needing extra help. Modular learning allows for a balanced study schedule by splitting topics into modules that each last two weeks, and it provides time for learners to reflect on their performance between modules.

Modular
Learning Rolando D. Acoriba, Jr., PhD What is modular learning?
It involves individualized instruction that allows learners to use self-
learning modules (SLMs) in print or digital format/electronic copy whichever is applicable in the context of the learner and other learning resources like Learner’s Materials, textbooks, activity sheets, study guides, and other study materials. Learners may access electronic copies of learning materials on a computer, tablet or PC or smartphone. The teacher takes the responsibility of monitoring the progress of the learners. The learners may ask assistance from the teacher via email, telephone, text message, etc. Where possible, the teacher shall do home visits to learners needing remediation or assistance. Any member of the family in the community needs to serve as “parateachers”. What are the benefits of modular learning?
A better study balance. Modular learning means that there will be
a split of terms in every topic/subject like; 1 module (ENGLISH) intended for two weeks while the other module (MATH) is for the next two weeks. More time to reflect. Allowing a gentler learning curve and plenty of time to reassess the learner’s performance form one set of modules to the next.
