Mapeh 1. One of our beliefs is a belief that have done from generation to generation and we need to sustain it and preserve this culture, one is the birthday celebration. We, Ilocanos, have to celebrate this birthday party because we have that notion wherein once you will not tender this kind of celebration to that person probably, he/she is sick and this happens as early as one year old baby until she reaches the age of eighteen which is the debut. This is one of our beliefs as Ilocanos. “ 2. Another is the belief for those who will get married. We have what you called the Dallot ( a wedding ritual) in fact, we preserve this culture and tried to present this at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and luckily we emerge as national winner and were able to reach as far as United States of America particularly in Honolulu, Hawaii just to showcase this Dallot, a cultural belief or a Ilocano wedding ritual. that is lit in front of the deceased's house and keep burning until
burial). It is also prohibited to eat horseradish when you have a
funeral.” NAME: Catalina Ulep

4. When there is a funeral that youre going to visit and show some respect or condolence you must not wear any color of shirt because the only color that is not prohibited to use in funerals are black and white. Green and red shirts are stricly not allowed because it is like youre disrespecting the one who died. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING Reported by: Czarille Anne Daligcon Alyna Fe L.
