Smart Card

Viridian games use a combination of Flash Cards instead of EPROM’s:

Game Flash Card – 1GB Compact Flash Card contains all of the game and the operating
system software.
Smart Card – 1 GB SIM card, contains pieces of code and encryption from the Flash card,
to prevent unauthorized duplication for Native Gen 7 games.
Using the “Set Chip” Compact Flash Card:
The “Emulated” or Mk6 programs use a 13 button panel, and the menus
are the same as the Mk6 games in the MAV cabinet.

Game menus
will have new
additional
information
related to the
new system.
These additional sub menus represent some of the features and capability
of the new GEN 7 software, and an indication of where it is going.
The menu looks
very similar to
the Mk6 screen,
but the text at
the bottom of
the screen is
important for
using the UPI
