explain and reviewing the previous material of the test to be, while the second 45
minute in the second session is for the test of the material. The material was

the example to answer the questions in front of the class and to relax the students
or lose the tense of the students’ teacher tried to entertain them by giving a
chance to student to give a punishment of the wrong answerer. This way was good

• T : “no + no yet” ( reject )
• S : “absent” ( one student tried to ask the teacher to call based on the
attendance list ) “apaini”?
• : “absent” ( one student tried to ask the teacher to call based on the
attendance list) “what is this” ?
• T : “Taufieq” ( called one of the student to come forward )
• S : “@” ( laughing together because the student who is called by the
teacher is a nice calm and innocence boy, and he come forward with that
expression.
• Analysis 1 :
• The first extract shows, the use of one type of verbal
humor called innuendo / double enterdens, as the
explanation of Raskin and Attardo (1991 ) stated
innuendo / double enterndes is a play words or an
interaction were one of the speaker appears or come
with innocence face to create the audience response of
the funny action, it happened in the first extract, where
Taufieq as one of the student called by the teacher
come forward with the innocence face, becasue that’s
the way he is, so it made the other students laugh at
him. Indirectly the verbal humor used in this situation.
