Initial Requirements
Use off-the shelf components to construct a device for measuring
how powerful an athlete is. Transmit data to a smartphone for
storing and displaying results

Measurements include, but are not limited to:

1. How fast a person can move weight a given distance
2. How much acceleration a person can impart to a given weight
3. Compare users and track progress
4. How much jerk a person can impart to a given weight

Projected customers
Other devices on market
Strength - How much weight a person can lift
vs.
Power - How fast a person can lift a given weight
Explosive strength training
Common sports and exercises
Usefulness of jerk to athletics

Surveys
Seven trainers in the Tallahassee area, average of 10 years experience
3 from Premier Health and Fitness
2 from Atlas Fit
2 from Florida A&M University
Common feedback:
A power measurement device would be useful to track their clients progress &
overall health
Jerk is not a significant measurement for athletics
Common power measuring exercises: bench press, deadlift, and squat
