BUDDHISM

By definition, integrity -> wholeness or

unity.
Synonym-> completeness, sincerity,
uprightness, honesty.
The quality of being honest and having
strong moral principles; moral
uprightness.
INTEGRITY: CONFORMING TO
MORALITY.
Every Buddhist(including laypersons) take five

percepts which is roughly..
I undertake to abstain from causing harm and
taking life (both human and non-human).
I undertake to abstain from taking what is not
given (stealing).
I undertake to abstain from sexual misconduct.
I undertake to abstain from wrong speech:
telling lies, deceiving others, manipulating
others, using hurtful words.
I undertake to abstain from using intoxicating
drinks and drugs, which lead to carelessness.
Nobleness
Definition
According to the dictionary:
- The quality of elevation of mind
and
exaltation of character or ideals or
conduct
While, in Buddhism
Four Noble Truth

You should know sufferings
-Buddha means that we should kno w the sufferings of
our future lives so that we can develop a strong with to
liberate ourselves from them
You should abandon origins
-origins which means our delusions, anger or ignorance
-Buddhas advice is to abandon them(origins) because
it is impossible to attain permanent liberation from
suffering and problems without controlling and
abandoning our delusions
You should know cessation (the fact or process of

ending or being brought to an end)
-Buddha said that we should develop strong
renunciation
for this endless cycle, and make the strong
determination
to attain enlightenment, the permanent cessation of
suffering, and to lead every living being to that state
You should practice the path
-Ones should know the inner path, a spiritual path that
leads to the pure happiness of liberation and
enlightenment
COURAGE
Definition:
The state or quality of mind or spirit that
enables one to face danger, fear, pain,
grief, or vicissitudes with self-possession,
confidence, and resolution; bravery.
COURAGE IN BUDDHISM
In Buddhism, courage, or fearlessness,

is highly valued.
COURAGEIS BORN OF HOPE, AND
WISDOM IS BORN OFCOURAGE
Courage is freedom from
cynicism.When everyone speaks
cynically, courage reaches out with
right speech. It is humble but sincere,
spreading a certain kind of love in the
world.
TEMPERANCE IN BUDDHISM
Temperance is moderation in the things that are

good and
total abstinence from the things that are foul.

Temperance is an essential part of the third and fifth

part of the Five precepts of Law :
1. misconduct concerning sense pleasures, and
2. drunkenness are to be avoided.

Inevitable and changeless law
Everyone has to answer to karma
In Buddhism, Karma means "action" or "doing";

whatever one does, says, or thinks is a karma.,
the term karma is used specifically for those
actions which spring from the intention of an
unenlightened being.
These bring about a fruit or result, either within

the present life, or in the context of a future
rebirth. Karma is the engine which drives the
wheel of the cycle of uncontrolled rebirth

The Eightfold Path can be divided into three

sections:
Wisdom: Right View and Right Intention
Ethical Conduct: Right Speech, Right
Livelihood, and Right Action
Mental Development: Right Effort, Right
Mindfulness, and Right Concentration
Traditional concepts of decency (avoid lying,
avoid jobs that take advantage of the weak or
harm health, avoid hurting others, etc.)
