Phallic symbols commonly represent fertility, power and masculinity. Many everyday objects like guns, rockets and neckties have been interpreted as phallic symbols.

Common objects that are interpreted as phallic symbols include guns, rockets, missiles, bombs, neckties, horses, snakes, and towers or tall buildings.

Phallic symbols have been prominently and sometimes subtly used in advertising to attract attention and link products to masculinity. Examples include advertisements for bars of chocolate, deodorant, and cars.
