Prepare a table of test specifications Craft test items Draw up mark schemes Vet items Administer the test Mark the scripts Analyse test results for feedback on setting better items and for improving instructions.

Table of Test Specification


Should be construct either by the constructors of educational curricula or syllabi or teacher who taught the subjects. To ensure content validity of the test. Should be prepared before certain course / test is conducted Assist the teacher in organizing her/his teaching material and all the resources that she/he plans to use in teaching because table of test specification is the plan of all objectives of her/his teaching.

STEP 1 Determine the test objectives and the scope of the subject to be tested from the syllabus. STEP 2 Decide the test format according the scope to time for the test the item type,number of each type of question and the pupils ability. Eg, Subject : Biology Topic : Cell structure & function Time ; 2 hours Format : Objective & essay Total marks : 100
