Prayers of the Faithful

For Francis our Pope, our Bishop, Priests and deacons, and
all lay ministers and everyone who serves Christ’s Body in
worship, education, and care of the poor.
We pray:

For all who are persecuted for their faith in Christ: for God’s
grace to enable them to persevere.
We pray:

For vocations to the priesthood and religious life, for our young men and women to be
attentive to the call of the Lord of the harvest and be generous in their response.
We pray:

For those chosen to govern peoples and nations, for wisdom to promote the welfare of
their people and the courage to work towards true peace.
We pray:

For our own parish community: to be true disciples of Christ, living in faith and Christian
service.
We pray:

OUR LADY OF MERCY CHURCH
Msg Coyle will be presiding Sunday morning masses at 9:30am
until August 18th at Our Lady of Mercy Church.

OUR LADY OF MERCY: We extend our deep gratitude to Maryam from

Elegant Dry Cleaners and Alterations here in Shediac for the amazing job that she
did in cleaning and repairing (mostly by hand and free of charge) both the altar linen
and the green panel that goes across the front of the altar. Maryam has replaced all
the velcro on the altar linen and the panel with industrial strength velcro so this
should stand for many years.

Maryam is the aunt of 4 newcomers who arrived from Afghanistan two weeks ago with the intense
help from Bill Black, QAS International Outreach.
Our most sincere thanks to Bill for all his work in bringing this lovely
family of youths safely to freedom here in New Brunswick.
God bless each and everyone.

The Gospel Study Group will not be held throughout the months of July and
August. We will resume in September.

SAINT LAWRENCE O’TOOLE Parish council has an opening for a chairperson, if you are interested please
speak with Rosmonde Gilmore or Shirley Richard at Mass. Thank you.
