SINCE 1961
Spread across a 135-acre campus, the Indian Institute of Management
Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) was established as the first national institute for
Postgraduate studies and Research in Management by the Government of
India in November 1961 in collaboration with the Alfred P. Sloan School of
Management (MIT), the Government of West Bengal, The Ford Foundation,
and Indian industry.

Over the years, IIM Calcutta gained global repute for imparting high-
quality management education through its Postgraduate and Doctoral
level programmemes, Executive Training programmemes, and Research &
Consulting activities. It is the first 'Triple Accredited' management school
from India – with accreditations from the Association to Advance Collegiate
Schools of Business (AACSB), European Quality Improvement System
(EQUIS), and Association of MBAs (AMBA).

It is also the only Indian business school that is a member of the Global

Participants are required to attend two five-day campus immersions at IIM Calcutta
in the middle & towards the end of the course. The face to face sessions may include

What is the curriculum like?


The curriculum is divided into 3 parts broadly that will teach you about things that impact
your business from the inside and outside, finally you will cover key leadership and strategy
concepts that are relevant in senior roles.

Are there any live sessions or workshops?


All the sessions are live and kept at a time that is most convenient for our participants. This is
fine-tuned after feedback from over 10 batches.

Can I access course material after completion?


The course material is accessible for the duration of the programme, you will have access to
the online library which will go beyond your curriculum because of your executive alumni
status after completing the programme.

Is there any assessment or evaluation during the programme?


Yes, there is blend of Written Examinations, Term Papers, Projects and roleplays among
other methods of assessments during the programme, the method of assessment will be
decided in a way that is apt to the subject you are learning.

What kind of support is provided to participants?


Participants receive dedicated support from faculty and programme coordinators for
academic queries and technical assistance.

FAQs

Are there any networking opportunities with peers and industry leaders?
Absolutely! During the programme you will be on campus with your peers for 10 days. Post
completion of the programme you will have IIM Calcutta’s Executive alumni status which
enables you to use the alumni portal which is currently sitting at 45,000+ alumni.

Is there a specific schedule for classes or can I study at my own pace?


Owing to the critical nature of the programme, we have all the classes Live and Online. In
case you miss a lecture, you can still access the recording within 7 days of the lecture.

Is attending the campus Immersion mandatory?


Yes, attending both the campus immersions of 5 days each is a necessary part of completing
the programme.

Which documents do I need to take admission?


You will need the following:

Prof. Chetan Joshi, a faculty member at IIM Calcutta's


Organisational Behaviour Group, specialises in
teaching courses and training programmemes on
Interpersonal Skills, Leadership, Negotiation, Conflict
Resolution, and Organisation Structure. His research
has been published in reputable journals and
presented at international conferences. He has
developed simulations and exercises showcased at
OBTS Teaching Society conferences and co-authored
case studies available from Harvard Business School
Publishing. Prof. Joshi has co-led various Long Duration

Prof. Ritu Mehta, a Marketing Professor at IIM Calcutta


since 2011, holds a PhD from IIT Kanpur. With a
background in Chemical Engineering and an MBA in
Marketing, she brings extensive industry experience in
consumer-packaged goods. Her research focuses on
retailing, consumer behaviour, sales promotions,
green marketing, and gender roles in decision-making.
Her work has been published in prestigious journals
and presented at international conferences. Prof.
Mehta has contributed to executive programmemes and
developed teaching cases with Ivey Publishing, with
Prof. Ritu Mehta teaching interests spanning marketing research,
pricing, brand, and services management.

Processing Fee contains ₹17,000 towards the Registration Fee and ₹3,000 towards the
Total Course Fees. Processing Fee of ₹20,000 is refundable in case the participant’s profile
is rejected by IIM Calcutta subject to a deduction of ₹2,500 as Administrative Charges
This is with reference to the refund of the Processing Fees, please note that the processing
fee shall not be refunded in the following circumstances:
- In case the candidate rejects the offer issued by the Institute; and
- In case the application is rejected due to submission of incomplete documents and/or
