Mr. Vaibhav Bakliwal did his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from

IIT Bombay after which he worked with TATA motors for a year. But his
penchant for teaching made him build Bakliwal Tutorials (BT) in April
2005. BT began with the aim to help students preparing for JEE,
realize their dreams; and to make sure that the preparation process
itself becomes a fun-filled and growth-involving experience.
The institute is successfully doing so and is now training more than
4000 students studying in different courses at its various centers. BT
is a leading institute for JEE and has produced many Maharashtra
Toppers and single digit All India Ranks.
Apart from his love for studies and students, he also loves music, solving puzzles and playing
chess. He has been Rajasthan Under-18 Chess champion and has played in many National level
championships.
He was also class representative for his batch, General Secretary for the Mechanical Department
and board games secretary for the institute at IIT Bombay.

The Foundation course has 3 levels:

1. Foundation Basic
2. Foundation Advanced
3. Foundation Advanced Plus
A student is able to cover these levels depending upon his/her current standard.
Students who are currently in 7th standard, can complete all the 3 levels: Foundation Basic
in 8th standard, Foundation Advanced in 9th standard & Foundation Advanced Plus in 10th
standard.
Students who are currently in 8th standard have 2 options:
Option 1: Completing Foundation Basic course in 9th standard and Foundation Advanced
course in 10th standard.
Option 2: Completing Foundation Basic course in 8th standard through Foundation Basic
(Winter + Summer) course followed by Foundation Advanced in 9th standard and Foundation
Advanced Plus in 10th standard.

About Foundation Basic Course
Course details
The Foundation course at BT is thoughtfully designed to help students crack quality competitive
exams. The Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics lectures and the corresponding assignment
sheets are carefully planned to help early generation of interests in these subjects. The Logic
lectures further facilitate in developing the students analytical thinking and problem-solving
abilities. The Coding lectures will also ensure that students understand the basic concepts of
coding at this early age itself, thereby giving them a competitive edge. We have also added
Biology subject in the Foundation Basic course as an additional option (details of the same are
mentioned ahead in this leaflet).
2 lectures per week are conducted in the Foundation Basic course. Each lecture will be of 3
hours and 20 mins duration. In addition to the regular lectures, special lectures targeting
various competitive exams and many doubt sessions are also conducted in this course.
Course formats
The Foundation course is offered in 3 formats:

1. Foundation Offline (Completely Offline)
2. Foundation Synergy (Offline + Online)
3. Foundation Online (Completely Online)
1. Foundation Offline:
In this format, both the lectures per week will be conducted in classroom coaching mode (offline
mode). The student can choose a center of his/her choice (out of the options available in this
format in his/her merit-wise category).
2. Foundation Synergy:
In this format, every week, 1 lecture will be conducted in classroom coaching mode and 1
lecture will be conducted in online mode. Online lectures are live lectures as per the batch
timing, which the students can attend from the comfort of their homes. For classroom lectures,
the student can choose a center of his/her choice (out of the options available in this format in
his merit-wise category).
3. Foundation Online:
In this format, both the lectures per week will be conducted in online mode. At BT, the online
lectures are live and also lively where students participate via chat and by un-muting
themselves responsibly.
If students wish, they will be allowed to shift from one format to another at any time
during the course, based on seat availability.
Course material & Online testing platform
BT provides its own course material and recommends a few books for additional study which
the student needs to arrange. It also provides an online testing platform which is used to
conduct various practice tests and online BTests. This Online platform provides a detailed &
personalised analysis of the student’s performance like time spent to solve each question,
subject wise comparison with toppers, topic wise strength & weaknesses etc. giving vital inputs
for improvement in the examination technique.
Students opting for Completely offline or synergy format will be requested to collect the study
material from their nearest BT center in Pune. Students opting for a completely online format
will get the study material via courier free of cost (within India). Overseas students will be
expected to bear the courier charges.
Doubt clearing platforms
Apart from doubts discussed during the lecture, there will be various ways through which
students can get their doubts cleared. Following are the platforms which students can use for
the same:
1. 20 mins reserved for doubts after each lecture:
In addition to the doubts discussed during the lecture, each 3 hour lecture will be followed by a
20 mins doubt session. In these 20 mins, teachers will be available for doubt discussion (both
in online and offline lecture). Students can make use of this extra time to interact with teachers
personally and get their doubts solved.
2. Availability of teachers for doubts at centers for entire day:
At all centers, teachers dedicated for doubts are available throughout the day where students
can discuss their doubts personally with them on a one-to-one basis.
3. Online doubt sessions:
In addition to the regular weekly lectures, we shall also conduct online doubt sessions daily
where students can interact with the teacher and get his/her doubts cleared.
4. Doubt Forum:
Bakliwal Tutorials has an interactive doubt forum with exciting features where students can
post their doubts and also solve the doubts of other students. Teachers also provide detailed
video solutions of the doubts in the forum. The questions are easily searchable and are
systematically available for reference and learning. Despite being a closed forum, meant
exclusively for BT students, BT's doubt forum is amongst the top results in Google search.
5. Telegram Group:
Official Telegram groups (similar to WhatsApp groups) are created batch-wise with the sole
purpose of doubts discussion. Students can post their doubts in that group and fellow batch
mates along with teachers will participate to solve the same. This helps students to get instant
solutions to most of their doubts at almost any time of the day.
Types of Batches
Getting the best students together is one of the attributes that is common across all the top rank
producing institutes in the country. The concept of 'merit wise batches' allows students to study
with their peers of relatively similar preparedness. This maximizes the personal growth of
students and even the teachers are able to plan their lectures well. This also creates a spirit of
positive & healthy competition among the students.
Types of Batches: In the Foundation course, there are 3 types of batches.
1. Wizards - Students who perform exceptionally well in the entrance exam are selected for the
Wizards batch.
2. Champions of Champions (COC) - Students who perform very well in the entrance exam
are selected for the COC batch.
3. Champions - The next set of students who perform well get selected for the Champions
batch.
Students who do not perform even up to a bare minimum level are not offered admission.
To begin with, students will be allotted batches as per their performance in the entrance exam.
In the Foundation course, after every 8 weeks, we conduct a BTest. Based on the performance
in this BTest, batches will be re-allotted to students after BTest-1 & BTest-3 on merit maintaining
their location preferences.
Start date of the course
The Foundation Basic course will begin in the week of 12th to 18th May, 2025 depending upon
the scheduled days of the batches.
Course structure
The Foundation Basic course follows an 8 weeks cycle during which 4 Physics, 4 Mathematics,
4 Chemistry, 1 or 2 Coding & 1 Logic lectures are conducted. On the Sunday of every 8th
week, a 3 hour test is conducted which is called BTest. Depending upon the performance in
BTests, batches are shuffled after BTest-1 and BTest-3 on merit.
Biology lectures (optional) are conducted twice in a month.

Due to space constraints, based on the BTest performance during the course, top few students
will be selected to attend these special lectures live. For the rest of the students, we shall share
the recording of these lectures. However, if any student is highly interested, based on space
availability, we will allow him/her to attend these lectures live.
There will be no separate charges for these special lectures.
Biology as an optional subject in the Foundation Basic course
In the Foundation courses, we teach Biology subject as well. Opting for Biology will be optional
for students. Students who are inclined towards medical entrance exam preparations or are
currently unclear in general which field to choose after 10th std, can keep their options open by
opting for Biology along with the other subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Logic &
Coding) in the Foundation Basic course.
Biology lectures will be conducted on alternate Mondays or Tuesdays (twice in a month) in

online mode only from 6.00 pm to 9.20 pm. Hence, students opting for Biology will have 3
lectures per week on alternate weeks.

1. One of our staff members will call you after you register and can be your one point
contact for all your queries. A few days before this entrance exam, you will also receive
an email about the details of the same from us.
2. You will receive a practice test link 2 days before the examination, containing 4
questions. Student should take that test to get used to writing a test on the google form
and report the difficulty faced if any. Note that the difficulty level in the practice test is not
representative of the actual entrance test.
3. The actual entrance exam will be conducted on the above date as per the above
schedule. A stable internet connection is essential for smooth conduction of the test.
4. Result (which includes the type of batch allocated to you and the scholarship won, if any)
of the test will be communicated within 3 to 4 days via email.
5. In that email, we shall invite qualified students and parents to attend an online session
on a specified date and time for Entrance exam review, to know operation details of the
course and to attend further queries, if any.
6. For the admission process, duly filled enrollment form has to be submitted online and
first instalment of the course fee has to be paid within 7 days of result declaration.
7. Students who do not enroll within a week from the day of result declaration will not be
entitled for any scholarship.
8. The fee for this entrance exam is Rs. 200 only (non refundable), which should be paid
while registering for the exam. Registration can be done at any of our offices or it can be
done online through our website.

Scholarships based on performance in BTests

These scholarships are awarded based on the combined performance of the students in
the first 4 BTests (aggregate) that will be conducted in this Course. The list of these top 50
students shall be declared after the 4th BTest. They shall be refunded the applicable
amount then.

Rs. 10,000 For students with a rank from 21 to 50
In case a student has already availed any other scholarship at the time of admission
process and has qualified for this scholarship as well, higher of the 2 amount shall
be applicable for him/her. Also, based on the same criteria, additional scholarship
shall be offered for the next course as well.
Note :
● No student can avail more than one scholarship. In case a student is qualifying for
multiple criteria, which ever criteria has the higher amount will be awarded to the student.
● All the above scholarships are applicable for the achievements after April 2023 till the
beginning of the course (May 2025).
● Students who do not enroll (within a week from the day of BT’s entrance exam result
declaration) would not be entitled for any scholarship.

Unlike most institutes which do not even publish their result on their websites and thrive on fake

2. Offline & Online tests with detailed analysis

Offline and Online Tests at BT (called BTests) are
thought provoking and bear close resemblance to the
actual JEE paper. We analyse the tests from a student's
perspective providing detailed and in-depth analytics on
time management and test taking strategy. The analytics
for the Online test are available immediately after test
submission. The analytics of the Offline test are emailed
in a couple of days.
Some of the parameters on which students‛ performance is analysed are mentioned below:
● Subject Analysis: Students get to know their performance in each subject along with
time spent per subject per question.
● SWOT Analysis: Students can clearly see the topics in which they are strong or weak
and then can easily decide the time to be spent on each topic going forward.
● Analysis as per question type: Questions in each test are tagged as per various types
(single option correct, multiple options correct, integer type etc.) and students get to know
how they fared under each type giving them an understanding of where they need to
improve.
● Attempt Analysis: A unique analysis of questions attempted by the students‛ according
to their difficulty level is provided to the students‛ to give an understanding of whether the
easier questions were attempted earlier than the difficult questions or not.
3. Merit wise batches

Merit based batches is one of the attributes that is common across all the successful JEE
institutes across the country. It is a proven fact that when students study with peers of relatively
same intelligence level, they are able to learn more and even the teachers are able to plan their
lectures well. This also creates a spirit of positive & healthy competition among the students.
4. Focus on Boards & MHT-CET as well

We at BT teach the basic concepts so well that the student understands the subject to the core
and then it is just a matter of a little bit of tuning according to the different exams. We ensure
that the students get thoroughly prepared for the board exams & other popular exams like
MHT-CET, BITSAT, Olympiads etc as well. After the syllabus is completed in 12th std (sometime
in October), we conduct special lectures for Boards/BITSAT/MHT-CET preparation. In such
lectures, students are trained as per the different pattern of these exams and mock tests of all
these exams are also conducted. Students at BT have been doing exceptionally well in Boards,

5. Well Equipped Classrooms, Study Room & Library Facility
BT offers state of the art infrastructure at each of their centre with spacious, AC ventilated
classrooms having Digital Boards. In addition to the classrooms, separate study rooms are
maintained which are dedicated for students for their self study. Students can also make use of
the various reference books available in the library.
6. Counseling Session after JEE Advanced Result

A detailed counseling session is conducted for all the students after their JEE and other exam
results are declared. In this session, along with the teachers, senior students from BT, who
have joined various IITs and other top colleges like NIT’s, BITS etc. participate and guide the
passing out batch on the right options to choose as per their merit and interest.
7. Student Mentorship Program

Each and every student at BT is assigned a personal Mentor. These mentors are young trainee
teachers at BT, who have recently passed out from top colleges like IIT/NIT etc. Mentor keeps
meeting the student at regular intervals, discusses student's academic activities in detail
including the daily study routine. The mentor also keeps a check of the progress of the student
and connects with the parent to discuss the same. Basically, the mentor plays the role of an
elder brother/sister to the student and guides the student academically and non academically in
this journey empathetically.
8. BT Culture
Out of the box events like Whizz-kid (Puzzle
Competition), Felicitation Function in which meritorious
students are awarded with Cash Prizes, Staff birthday
celebrations, Picnic with 12th passing out students along
with the faculty, Seminars, Counselling Session after JEE
Advanced result etc truly make BT different.
9. Interaction with parents on child’s progress

We ensure that we stay connected with parents through various ways and keep them in loop
with respect to their child's progress during the preparation. Parents are also sent absenteeism
SMS on daily basis and test results with detailed analysis after every test. We also conduct a
seminar on effective parenting where we share our views on how parents can contribute in
child’s studies. PTM is occasionally conducted where one to one feedback is provided to them
etc. Parents can also meet teachers occasionally after the lectures. Thus, parents are kept
totally involved during the entire journey so that we work together for the intellectual growth of
the child.
10. Insightful Seminars

In addition to the regular lectures, special seminars on various topics are conducted at regular
intervals to guide the student on mental and other aspects which are important for JEE
preparation along with the academics part. Special seminars/interaction sessions are also
conducted with parents where we discuss with them as to what can be their role on their child's
preparation. This ensures that students are highly motivated and aware about all the important
aspects during their JEE preparation journey.
