Installing a Digital Certificate on an iPhone

1. Open the .p12 or .pfx certificate file using your iPhone by selecting the file. This will start the process
to install the certificate as a new profile on your iPhone. In the example below, the *.p12 file was
included in an email.
2. At the Install Profile screen (shown below) press the Install button.

3. You will be prompted with a warning message that says, "Installing this profile will change settings on
your iPhone." Press the Install Now button:

4. If your device has a PIN or passcode set, you may need to enter this in. After that (or if no passcode
has been set), then you will be required to enter in the password for the certificate. Using the
keyboard provided type in the password into the field. Once you have entered in the password push
the Next button at the top beside Enter Password:

5. The certificate will continue to install. Once it has finished you will be presented with the following
screen:

6. You can exit this screen by pressing the Done button in the top right hand corner.

Please keep in mind that computer settings may vary depending on the retailer’s personal settings and the
browser the retailer is using to access WebPOS.

Epay will email the certificate and password in a Zip file. If you do not have a program that allows you to
unzip the zip files you may download WinZip by visiting www.winzip.com/mac.

Since WebPOS is optimized for Chrome and/or Internet Explorer, if you do not have Chrome installed
already you may download the browser by visiting
https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html and click on “Download Chrome for
another platform” then select Mac.

Unzip the Digital Certificate file and save the DC on your desktop.

Open Chrome:
1. Open the Keychain Access manager
2. Click on File and then Import Items

3. Refer to the digital certificate you saved on your desktop prior to.
4. Double Click the file
5. Select System in the Keychain drop-down and click Add.
6. Enter your Computer’s Admin password to authorize the changes

7. Enter the password for the Digital Certificate.

8. Next, use the steps below to assign the new certificate.


9. Open the server admin.
10. Navigate to Web > Security > Enable Secure Socket Layer (SSL).
11. Select the certificate issued to your site from the drop-down menu to assign the services.
12. Restart the site.
13. Remove the outdated Digital Certificate
14. Open Chrome
15. Click on the three lines on the top right hand corner of the browser window
16. Select Settings
17. Click on Show Advanced Settings
18. Scroll down to HTTPS/SSL and click on Manage Certificates

19. Click on My Certificates which will list all of the certificates downloaded onto your Mac

20. You should see Two Certificates for Epay


• PaySpot Root (Old Certificate)
• Epay Root (Updated Certificate)
21. Put your mouse over PaySpot Root
22. Right Click with your mouse and select Delete “PaySpot Root”
Once you’ve downloaded the certificate be sure to Give Special Permission
so that you can actually open the DC.
