1. How to use

1.0 Frequently used functions


1. Turn on/off main switch of SUPiA CR SCANNER
2. Insert SUPiA CR CASSETTE into the Tray (cassette slot) of SUPiA CR SCANNER.

1.1 Installation of SUPiA gram


1. Insert the supplied SUPiA gram CD into the PC and install it.
Installation of SUPiA gram should be performed by authorized service
engineer.
CAUTION And we do not recommend connecting to the Internet because of
problems such as hacking, virus infection, etc.

2. Double click installation file ( ). (All installation process is progressed automatically.)

3. After installation, the S/W icon ( ) is generated on the window screen.

1.2 System start-up procedure


1. Make sure that the USB cable is connected between the PC and SUPiA CR SCANNER.
2. Turn on the mains switch of SUPiA CR SCANNER.
3. Turn on the mains switch of the PC installed SUPiA gram.

4. Double click the S/W icon( ) on the PC window, than the below screen is displayed.

5. Initial ID: admin PW: 0000

1.3 Operating of SUPiA CR SCANNER and CASSETTE


1. Insert SUPiA CR CASSETTE exposed by X-ray equipment into the cassette slot of SUPiA CR
SCANNER. After insertion, the cassette could not be removed from SUPiA CR SCANNER until
the scanning is finished.

Please note that the direction of insertion of the cassette.


If the direction is wrong, the cassette is not inserted.
CAUTION

the cassette before booting the equipment can cause noise, so


make sure to put it in green when the equipment is booted.
CAUTION

2. Insert the cassette, then the LEDs equipped on SUPiA CR SCANNER are turned on as green.
(The green “ON” means “under scanning”.)
3. After scanning, the LEDs are flashed as green. (The green “flash” means “under erasing”.)
4. After erasing, the LEDs are turned on as green again. (The final green “ON” means “All
scanning process is finished.”)
5. Remove the cassette from the scanner.

1.4 Operating of SUPiA gram


1.4.1 Calibration
-Before use, calibration must be performed. You can calibrate by cassette size (when size is
different), by bar code (when size is same). If you have two cassettes of the same size, it
means that you can calibrate only one or both. The calibration related interface can be
checked on page 47.

1.4.2 Worklist Screen

- In this screen, inspection standby animal list, inspection paused patient list and inspection
finished patient list are displayed.

- Register a new animal by click <New animal>.


- Screen panel: Panel to search worklist using various function buttons.

Display the list of all animals waiting to be examined or completed

Enter the currently selected animal's ACQUIRE screen

Displays the photographer. You can change the photographer in the preferences,

and the changed photographer will be reflected.

- Device Status : Below the SW logo, it displays the connection status of the device, such as
whether the device is connected, inserted cassette problem or not.

- Device Connection & Status bar: The notification bar displays a lot of information in real
time so that the user can check the status of the equipment at a glance without any action,
and it is configured to move to the environment setting screen and minimize or close the
window

This window displays the shooting resolution. The resolution can be


differentiated into HD, SD.

Button to eject cassette of CR equipment


If the device is not connected or the cassette has already been removed,
the button is disabled. (If the button is enabled it will appear white.)

If you click on it, you will be prompted to insert a cassette and the erase
will proceed when you insert the cassette.

Check other status: Device connection status, MWL connection status,


server connection status, printer connection status, remaining storage space
(displayed as %). When connected normally, it appears white.

It is a button to go to the configuration screen(setting), a minimize button,


and an exit button.

- Query : Displays the last time the patient information was retrieved.

- Search date button : Button to specify the date range to which patient information to be
displayed belongs.

- Specify the search start date and the search completion date as shown in the screen above.

If you press button, only the patient information of the specified date is displayed.

If you press , the previous condition is restored.

- Quick search : Window to search for animals by ID, name, gender, etc.

- Display search panel : A panel designed to determine whether to display animals waiting to
be examined and animals who have been checked.

You can select the desired attributes to be displayed in the list, change the order of the
attributes, and change the font size. If the worklist is linked, the animal information is
displayed by a query without any additional procedure, and the animal registered by clicking
the new animal registration icon is also displayed. Double click to enter ACQUIRE screen.

- Thumbnail : Displays an image of a animal that has already been studied.


The image of the animal is displayed as shown below. Information about the number of
images, image and shooting area is displayed. If animal information is selected from the
work list and the image is moved, the image is moved to the selected patient.

If there is no recorded image and only the order is taken, the image disappears and only
the remaining information is displayed. In addition, whether the check was completed,
whether it was sent, rejected, etc., is displayed at the top right.

- Add-on Panel : A panel that performs additional functions such as new animal registration,
query barcode, etc.

This icon is used to register emergency patients and patients who are not
connected to MWL. When you click it, you will enter the study
composition screen.
The query icon. If MWL is linked, this icon will bring up patient
information.
Bar code registration button. If you want to use a barcode scanner to scan
a barcode, the color changes to orange and you can scan in any order.
Click again to cancel.

The export button is disabled when the patient’s statue is ‘Waiting’ as


shown above. Click the patient to export the image and then turn on

PACS. This activates the button in the upper right corner.

Patient information edit button. When you click (2) will enter.

Patient information deletion button. When you click (3) pop-up window will
appear, and the selected patient information will be deleted.

(1) Export screen

If you want to print multiple images on a single film, please refer to the above picture.
Up to four images can be output simultaneously on one film. Click on the images you want to
print and click on the layout icon.

Then you can see the interface like above.


At this time, you can change the position between images and adjust as below.

(2) Screen for animal information edit

You can edit the above information such as the Vet Name, Forma, etc. of the selected animal.

It will be modified when clicked and canceled when clicked . However, it is not
possible to modify the ID of patient information retrieved through MWL linkage.

(3) Screen for animal information delete

The above pop-up window will be displayed. If you click , the selected animal will be

deleted. If you click , the pop-up window disappears.

2. Study composition screen


It is used when animal information or inspection information can not be used by using work
list, or when it is necessary for operator to manually create and use patient information and
inspection information due to emergency situation.

- Enter animal information : Window for inputting information such as animal ID, name,
date of birth, sex, veterinarian name, etc.

If you click the register button without entering ID, name, date of birth, and gender, a
pop-up window will pop up as shown below. The veterinarian is admin by default and can
be edited

- Registration and Acquire : This button registers the entered animal or enters the Image
screen.

Registration icons. If animal information and body part are entered and
clicked, animal information is registered on the work list screen.

Acquire icon. When you click it, you will go to the image screen.

- Study composition: You can organize inspection list by window with main body part, body
part, projection and animal body diagram.

- For example : If you want to configure Thorax, DV scan as shown above,


a. Select Thorax, in the Body Part.
b. Select DV, in the Projection.
c. Make sure that Thorax DV study is created in the Exam List.
When compositing the study list, all of the Main Body Part, Body Part, and Projection
must be selected before the test mode can be entered.

- Exam list : A window that lists the tests that you selected in the study composition screen

The selected study list is displayed in order. Select the check area and click below to
delete the selected study list.

1.4.3 Acquire Screen


It is the screen to check and correct the patient information to be shot, to edit the image of
the patient and to reprocess the image.

- Enter patient information

It is a window to display the ID, birth date, gender, etc. of animal information registered

on the worklist screen. ID and name are displayed in the window.

When you click the button, you can see the list of patients waiting to be studied. In

addition, when you click the Modify button , the following pop-up window will appear
and patient information can be modified.

In the case of pre-recorded images, the order of shooting is displayed in the upper left
corner as 1, 2, 3 ..., and the top right shows intuitively whether the image was rejected or
transmitted correctly. At the bottom, you will see a list of the tests you have taken. If it is
not before shooting, the image disappears and only the shooting sequence and inspection
list are left. When you select an image to scan and insert a cassette into the machine, the

image is implemented. Button is a button that moves up and down when the
number of images is large.

It shows numerical values of Width (0 ~ 65535), Level (0 ~


65535) and Zoom (50% ~ 1,000%) of the displayed image. You

can adjust the number by directly entering the number where it
appears.

Displays the recorded image. Only the frame is displayed before


2 shooting. If you are scanning an image, you can preview the
image being scanned in several steps.

This is an intuitive indication of the position of the cassette, and

disappears during transmission and printing.

It is designed to know the size of the actual image. When you


enlarge or reduce an image, you can zoom in and out at the

same rate to know the size of the actual image.
It disappears during transmission and output.

- Image parameter window : Window to fine tune the parameter value of the displayed
image

Histogram of the image. Displays the width, level, etc. of the image

Parameter reset button. The parameter that was adjusted when

The color reversal button. You can use the Invert function which

Measure function. You can use the tape measure to overlay length values on the

Marking can be done. When you press the button, a list of available markings

Image reset button. When clicked, the image is initialized to the acquired state and

Save button. The edited operation is saved in the image screen. The same

conditions apply when shooting the same area after storage.

Copy button. You will create one more image of the current image, and one image

will be added to the thumbnail.

The reject button. The selected image will not be sent to the server, and

thumbnails will indicate that this image was rejected in the top right corner.

Transfers the selected image to the server. It is disabled if there is no recorded

image or communication with the server is not possible.

This button changes the body part. When you click, a pop-up window will appear

where you can change the body part. If there is no recorded image, it is disabled.

-Special tool: If you click area icon, you can see special tools like below.

1 Area: You can get the area by taking a points. (Max 25times)

Cobb Angle: Use this to calculate the angle by clicking the spinal cord left / right

on the spinal cord curvature.
Laminitis measurement:
3 It is used to measure acute or chronic aseptic inflammation in the hoof of a horse
or horse.

4 VD Thorax: The ratio of the Cardiac Width to the Thorax width.

5 Hip Dysplasia: The Norberg-angle of the hip in dogs and cats.

6 Vertebral heart Score: The size of an animal's heart.

1.4.4 Setup screen


The configuration screen consists of four boards: environment setting, DICOM, anatomical,

and calibration. You can enter the setting screen by clicking the button.

- Configuration
(1) User management
You can add, edit, or delete users. It is recommended that you do not share your ID
and password with other users.
① Add : When the button is clicked, the following pop-up window will appear.
And you can enter the ID name password and add the user.

② Modified : When the button is clicked, the following window will appear.
And user information can be modified.

③ Delete : The selected user is deleted.

(2) Basic setting


① Clinic name : The name of the hospital using the equipment.
② Language : You can select the language to be displayed.

③ Font : You can select the font for the displayed language.

④ Date format : You can select the format of the displayed date.

⑤ Separator : You can select a separator to distinguish the date format.

⑥ Days to keep images : You can set the number of days to keep the image. When it
is 0, it keeps the whole.

⑦ Show storage : Displays the remaining capacity of the total disk. At this time, it can
be displayed as ratio or capacity

⑧ Image storage LOW : Sets the minimum disk usage allowed by the program in %. In
the figure above, it is set to 80%. Therefore, when the disk usage reaches 80% of
the total disk capacity, the oldest scan information is automatically deleted.

⑨ Maximum disk usage : Sets the upper limit of the capacity of the usable disk in %.
The figure above is set to 90%. Therefore, when the disk usage reaches 90% of the
total disk capacity, the setting of the minimum disk usage is automatically deleted to
secure the capacity of the disk.

⑩ Image storage location : Choose where you want to save the image.

(3) Order mapping


You can map the inspection code

① Add
After entering the order code and the order description, select the part and click the
Add button, a new inspection code will be generated. If you press the Cancel button,
the pop-up window will disappear. Select a region from the mapping list and click the
Delete button to delete the region from the mapping list.
② Modified : You can modify the mapping information in the same way when you select
the mapping information and click the Modify button.
③ Delete : You can delete the mapping information by selecting the mapping
information and clicking the Delete button.
(4) Marking
The already entered marking information is displayed. You can set marking information
with the Add and Delete buttons.
(5) Usage information
Displays the number of scans and erases of the equipment and cassette, and displays
the version information of the SW.

- DICOM
You can make settings related to DICOM service.

(1) User management


Displays the value of the corresponding property like IP, Port Called AE Title, Alias,
Default.
(2) The icon to enter the property value.
① Echotest : Test whether worklist, storage, and print are connected. When you
select the item you want to test, it is activated. When you deselect it, it is
deactivated.
② Add / Modified : When you click the pop-up window will appear as below, you can
add / modify work list, storage, and print.

③ Delete : If you select the item you want to delete, it is activated and you can modify
the work list, storage, and print.
(3) DICOM-related automatic request time, character set, Calling AE Title, and whether to
compress.

- Anatomical

(1) You can modify BodyPart and Projection according to MainBodyPart. Click the Modify button
and the following window will appear.

allows you to add BodyParts and Projections and delete

BodyParts and Projections on clicks . If there is an addition, the button is

activated and the content applied at the time of click changes. When the
button is clicked, the window disappears.

(3) The Edit All button. When clicked, the following window will appear. You can change
the PM Tube value, resolution and image parameter value.

(1) The resolution according to the cassette size is displayed, and if the calibration is
completed, it is marked as 'X' if it is not completed with '0'.

1.5 System shut-down procedure


Please keep it in the oder described below.
1. Close the window of SUPiA gram.
2. Shut-down the PC at window main menu.
3. Turn off the main switch of SUPiA CR SCANNER.

1.6 Cleaning after use


1. Clean the surface of SUPiA CR SCANNER and CASSETTE using a soft cloth.
2. Do not use any kind of liquid to clean SUPiA CR SCANNER and CASSETTE.

1.7 Cautions for USB connection between SUPiA CR SCANNER and PC for SUPiA gram

USB port should be used for connecting PC installed SUPiA gram.


CAUTION

SUPiA gram should be installed at PC complied by IEC/EN 60950-1.


CAUTION If not, electrical harms could be appeared to operator.

The responsible organization should identify, analyze, evaluate and

Do not connect the other electrical equipment.


Do not change the network environment after installing SUPiA gram.
CAUTION Do not remove the USB cable while operating the device.

2. How to use gram viewer S/W


2.1 gram Viewer S/W
*The viewer Program is CR (SUPiA CR SYSTEM) and DR (Stellar M17) common and
compatible for both human and animal applications.
*Note that the sample images below were taken against people.
*About the installation, refer to installation manual.
Regardless of the connection or possession of the equipment, you can check the patient's image.
The software can integrate data from images obtained from its models SUPiA gram and Stellar
gram. Viewer software with this useful feature is not a default option when purchasing equipment
and should indicate to the manufacturer that it is willing to purchase it.

If you have purchased this optional Viewer S/W, please refer to the below.

2.1.1 Log in of gram viewer


To log in to the Viewer Software, you first need to add an account from the Console software.

Log in with ID:admin, PW:0000 on Console SW.

Click Setting Icon to register a new ID that will be used in gram viewer.

If you have added an account in the console software (SUPiA gram), close the window and then run
gram viewer, and place your mouse on the Setup button located at to top left of the screen.

If you activate the Set up botton, a screen like the one above appears.
Input the IP address of the Console PC, default port: 219
(If you don’t know your Ip address, please refer to below).

1) Printer Type
You can choose 2 types of printer to print.
Standard printer refers to a network printer with a PC connected to it, and DICOM printer is an
abbreviation for Digital imaging and Communications in Medicine, which applies a kind of standard
communication protocol that is compatible with image information between medical devices.

If you want to output DICOM printer, please press the setting icon located in the upper right
corner. After selecting DICOM tab, please enter DICOM printer information and start ping test.

When all information is entered correctly and the connection is complete, the following notification

pop-up appears and click the OK button .

2) Paper size
If you selected the type of printer to print, select the paper size. You can select six types, in inches.

If the actual paper size differs from the selected paper size, the DICOM printer will display
this error, so check the paper size again and print it out.

3) Zone separation

You can place more than two pictures to print, and you can adjust the position be dragging the
pictures to print.

4) Option
You can print out a logo or text by inserting it into the image.

-Logo

Logo image format must be image format.

-Text

You can insert letters in the image or adjust font size and only fill in the required items through the
checklist.

8) Thumbnail

The images for that patient appear listed. If you have a lot of images, use the scroll to check.

If the ping test is carried out normally at 1) , press the button on the bottom right after all
settings are completed to complete the output.
