Lesson – 4 Wild Animals

Summary :-

 Wild animals live in their natural surroundings.


 Some animals live on land, some live in water and some live on
trees.
 Some wild animals build homes for themselves.
 Some wild animals find homes in the wild.
 Wild animals have to move from place to place in search of
food.
 Different wild animals eat different kinds of food.
 Tigers, lions, crocodiles and leopards eat the flesh of other
animals. They are known as flesh – eating animals or
carnivorous animals.
 Plant – eating animals eat different part of plants. Elephant,
zebras, giraffes, rhinoceroses and dear are plant eating
animals or herbivorous animals.
 Bear and crow eat both plant and the flesh of other animals.
They are known as omnivorous animals.
 Animals always face danger of being harmed or killed.
 Extinct animals are no more found on Earth. E.g.-Dinosaurs,
Dodo.

 Endangered animals are the once that face the danger of the
becoming extinct, if not protected. E.g.- Tiger, Panda and
Rhinoceros.

 We should save our forest and protect animals from any harm.
