Scheme of Work

Kindergarten
Term 1 - (Session 2024 - 25)

Scheme of Work is a comprehensive document that gives an overview of curriculum covered over a term
detailing the transdisciplinary integrations and standalone curriculum and is shared at the beginning of the
term.

Unit Overview letter is a document that gives a detailed insight into a particular unit focusing on
curriculum, resources, parent involvement etc. This is shared at the beginning of each unit.

IB PYP enhancements now allows for schools to consider flexibility on starting points and time frames for
the units of inquiry. For example, one unit could run throughout the year (Yearlong), while others could be
revisited once or numerous times (Phased), with some overlap where appropriate. These timeframes are:
Discrete beginning and ending Continual
Investigation (Yearlong)
Revisiting once or Numerous times (Phased)

You will be able to see the timeframe for the yearlong unit and the detailed plan in the Scheme of Work
(SOW) and aspects of it being covered with each unit as an integration through the Unit Overview Letter.
