So, do we have some magic formula that will open the gate of a favorite institute for you?
No, we do not.

Once again welcome to the BT family, welcome to success!
Sincerely,
Vaibhav Bakliwal

Mr. Vaibhav Bakliwal did his B.Tech in mechanical engineering

from the IIT Bombay after which he worked with TATA motors for
a year. But his penchant for teaching made him create Bakliwal
Tutorials (BT) in April 2005. BT began with the aim to help
students preparing for IIT-JEE, realize their dreams; and to
make sure that the preparation process itself becomes a
fun-filled and growth-involving experience.
The institute is successfully doing so and is now training more
than 3500 students at its various centers for various courses. BT
is a leading institute for JEE and has produced many
Maharashtra toppers and single digit All India Ranks.

Apart from his love for studies and students, he also loves music, solving puzzles and
playing chess. He has been Rajasthan Under-18 chess champion and has played in many
national level championships. He was also class representative for his batch, general
secretary for the mechanical department and board games secretary for the institute at IIT
Bombay. Vaibhav sir very deservingly is also the vice president (Academics) of the
coaching federation of India.
He has truly been an inspiration to thousands of students aspiring for the coveted IITs.

Committed to create ethical, rational & powerful human

beings who will bring a positive difference to the society

What makes BT different?
1. ‘Genuine results’: Power of BT!
Unlike most institutes which thrive on fake results, we believe in absolute transparency. All the
ranks mentioned by us belong to the general category unless otherwise specified clearly. All the
results correspond to our classroom students. We have also given contact details of all our
IIT-JEE/JEE Advanced qualified students till date, on our website, in the results section.
We are yet to come across an institute in entire India which has the honesty, courage &
confidence of declaring their results, consistently year after year, in such a transparent manner.

2. Regular revision lectures & doubt clearing

sessions
Apart from doubts discussed during the lecture, there will
be various ways through which students can get their
doubts cleared. Following are the platforms which
students can use for the same:

● After the lecture

In addition to the doubts discussed during the lecture, each 3 hour lecture will be followed by a
20 mins doubt session. In these 20 mins, teachers will be available for doubt discussion (both
in online and offline lecture). Students can make use of this extra time to interact with teachers
personally and get their doubts solved.
● Doubt sessions
In addition to the above, separate doubt sessions (both online & offline) are also conducted
regularly of higher duration. In such doubt sessions too, students can interact with the teacher
on a one-to-one basis and get their doubts cleared.
● Doubt Forum
Bakliwal Tutorials has an interactive doubt forum with exciting features where students can
post their doubts and also solve the doubts of other students. Teachers also provide detailed
video solutions of the doubts in the forum. The questions are easily searchable and are
systematically available for reference and learning. Despite being a closed forum, meant
exclusively for BT students, BT's forum is amongst the top results in Google search.
● Telegram group
Official Telegram groups (similar to WhatsApp groups) are created batch-wise with the sole
purpose of doubts discussion. Students can post their doubts in that group and fellow batch
mates along with teachers will participate to solve the same. This helps students to get instant
solutions to most of their doubts at almost any time of the day.

3. Competent and committed faculty team

Many students at BT have quoted in their testimonials that BT means "Brilliant Teachers". Over
the years, more than 10,000 teachers have applied at BT. Through a stringent selection
process which involves 2 rounds of rigorous interview, written test and demo lecture, we select
the best out of them.
Unlike other coaching classes which have only 1 or 2 'good' teachers, each and every faculty
at BT is extremely knowledgeable, approachable and passionate about teaching. Most of the
teachers at BT are IITians or passouts from an equivalent top college. Feedback of almost all
teachers at BT, as frequently taken from students, is more than 9 out of 10.

What makes BT different?

4. Offline & Online tests with detailed analysis

Offline and Online Tests at BT (called BTests) are
thought provoking and bear close resemblance to the
actual JEE paper. We analyse the tests from a student's
perspective providing detailed and in-depth analytics on
time management and test taking strategy. The Analytics
of ONLINE test is available immediately after the
submission of the Test. The analysis of OFFLINE test is
mailed and also uploaded on the BT website.
Some of the parameters on which student's performance is analysed are:
● Subject analysis: Students get to know their performance in each subject along with time
spent per subject per question.
● SWOT Analysis: Student's can clearly see the topics in which they are strong or weak and
then can easily decide the time to be spent on each topic going forward.
● Analysis as per question type: Questions in each test are tagged as per various types
(single option correct, multiple options correct, integer type etc.) and students get to know
how they fared under each type giving them an understanding of where they need to
improve.
● Attempt Analysis: A unique analysis of questions attempted by the student according to
their difficulty and trickiness level is provided to the student to give an understanding of
whether the easier questions were attempted earlier than the difficult questions or not.

5. Merit wise batches

Merit based batches is one of the attributes that is common across all the successful JEE
institutes across the country. It is a proven fact that when students study with peers of relatively
same intelligence level, they are able to learn more and even the teachers are able to plan their
lectures well. This also creates a spirit of positive & healthy competition among the students.

6. Focus on Boards & MHT-CET as well

We at BT teach the basic concepts so well that the student understands the subject to the core
and then it is just a matter of a little bit of tuning according to the different exams. We ensure that
the students get thoroughly prepared for the board exams & other popular exams like MHT-CET,
BITSAT, Olympiads etc as well.
After the syllabus is completed in 12th std (sometime in October), we conduct special lectures for
Boards/BITSAT/CET preparation. In such lectures, students are trained as per the different
pattern of these exams and mock tests of all these exams are also conducted.
Students at BT have been doing exceptionally well in Boards, BITSAT, MHT-CET & other exams.

7. Study room & Library facility

In addition to the classrooms, separate study rooms are maintained which are dedicated for
students for their self studies. Students can sit in that room before/after the class or any other
time to study alone or do some group studies. Students can also make use of the various
reference books available in the library.

What makes BT different?
8. Academic Diary for self improvement
At BT, we strongly believe that “deliberate practice, and not just practice, makes one perfect”.
With this intention, we provide an academic diary to our Comprehensive course students where
they can continuously analyze (monitor) the progress of their preparation and accordingly chart
out improvement plans. The diary consists of the following sections:
● Dashboard: On this page, parents and students can see all the details related to their
Attendance, BTest Performances, Weekly Tests etc. at one glance.
● Weekly Study Planner: In this section, student needs to plan their studies on a weekly
basis, jot down the subject wise topics which they plan to study in a particular week and
keep a track of the same. Parents and teachers also monitor the same.
● BTests analysis: In this section, student analyze each and every test he takes at BT and
jots down important learnings derived from the same.
● Important BTest questions: In this section, after each test, student notes down the
important questions from that test which should be revised during the time of revision. This
helps the student to revise all the important concepts systematically during revision.
● Confidence builder: In the last section, student tracks their preparation and confidence
level subject wise and topic wise during revision. Student can accordingly devote more
time to topics/subjects where confidence level is low.
All in all, this academic diary if used sincerely can lead to immense self improvement during the
2 year preparation and make him/her a worthy and successful student.

9. BT culture
Out of the box events like Whizz-kid (puzzle
competition), felicitation function, birthday
celebrations, pledge day, picnics, seminars,
counseling session after JEE result etc truly
make BT different.

10. Interaction with parents on child’s progress

We ensure that we stay connected with parents through various ways and keep them in loop
with respect to their child's progress during the preparation. Teachers regularly check the
homework of students and parents are informed on the same. Parents are also sent
absenteeism SMS on daily basis and test results with detailed analysis after every test. We
also conduct a seminar on effective parenting where we share our views on how parents can
contribute in child’s studies. PTM is occasionally conducted where one to one feedback is
provided to them etc. Parents can also meet teachers occasionally after lecture. Thus,
parents are kept totally involved during the entire journey so that we work together for the
intellectual growth of the child.

11. Insightful Seminars

In addition to the regular lectures, special seminars on various topics are conducted at
regular intervals to guide the student on mental and other aspects which are important for
JEE preparation along with the academics part. Special seminars/interaction sessions are
also conducted with parents where we discuss with them as to what can be their role on their
child's preparation. This ensures students are highly motivated and aware about all the
important aspects during their JEE preparation journey.

Locations and Batches

Types of Batches

Getting the best students together is one of the attributes that is common across all the top rank
producing institutes in the country. The concept of 'merit wise batches' allows students to
study with their peers of relatively similar preparedness. This maximizes the personal growth of
students and even the teachers are able to plan their lectures well. This also creates a spirit of
positive & healthy competition among the students.

Types of Batches: In Comprehensive course, there are 4 types of batches.

1. Wizards - Students who perform exceptionally well in the entrance exam are selected for
the Wizards batch.
2. Champions of Champions (COC) - The next set of students who perform very well get
selected for the COC batch.
3. Champions - Students who do well but are not able to get through COC are selected for
the Champions batch.
4. Challengers - Students who do not perform well but are keen and committed to working
hard are selected for the Challengers batch.

Students who do not perform even up to a bare minimum level will not be offered admission

To begin with, students will be allotted batches as per their performance in the entrance exam.
In class 11th, after every 4 weeks, we conduct a BTest. Based on the performance in the first
BTest, batches will be re-allotted to students, maintaining their location and format preferences.

A new category of batch (Wizards of Wizards) will be floated after the first BTest (at the
end of the orientation program). Wizards of Wizards batch will be held at Aundh and
Lloyds centers. Top few students, on the basis of merit, will be offered the Wizards of
Wizards batch.

Then the re-allotment will happen after three BTests as per combined performance in those
three BTests. So, the re-allotment is done after BTest number 1, 4, 7, 10, 13 and so on. The
shuffling ends after the 11th std and a final batch is allotted to every student as per their merit at
the beginning of 12th std.

Assistance for College/Hostel/Transport

Assistance to Choose School/College for 11th and 12th Standard

There are some schools/colleges that have an understanding attitude towards students preparing
for JEE. Taking admission in any of these colleges will enable you to devote maximum time for
JEE preparation. We can share their names after the entrance exam.

Assistance to Choose a Hostel for Outstation Students

For outstation students joining BT, we have a list of some good hostels in Pune near the BT
centers. Please note that BT is in no way associated (financially or otherwise) with any of these
hostels. Senior BT students have stayed in these hostels and have given good feedback about
them.
Do visit the hostel and ascertain whether the house keeping, security etc. is as per your
expectations and all the admission related formalities need to be completed directly with the hostel
only.

Assistance for Carpooling or Deciding Van Vendors

Just before your offline lectures begin, once your batches at BT have been finalised, we’ll get the
location details of the students interested in carpooling or in joining the van service. We shall then
divide these students in small groups such that students living in the vicinity of each other and who
have been allocated the same batch at BT will be in the same group. We’ll then share the details
of students in the same group with each other so that can then coordinate with each other and
decide to either carpool or join some van service.
We have a list of some van vendors who have been providing such service to our students from a
few years. Please note that BT is in no way associated (financially or otherwise) with any of these
vendors. Senior BT students have given good feedback about them and hence we are
recommending them. All the related financial transactions need to be done directly with the
transport service provider only.
