We're calling because you might qualify to switch to a new electricity provider for [City

How much do you pay for your electricity monthly? (must be over $140)

If the lead has questions that you don't know how to answer, you can make a 3-way call
to get a manager on the phone to help answer more questions.

I completely understand, just to let you know, this program is ending very soon because utility
companies are changing their incentive programs. Currently, the program allows you to reduce
your bill without any out-of-pocket cost. It will only take 5 minutes with our specialist to see if you
qualify for this program.

I have had someone out before & can't get it on my roof.

installation. Some of your neighbors felt the same way, but what they found was that we can do

There are huge tax incentives and rebates to go solar right now - so luckily for you, if your home
qualifies it would be zero dollars out of pocket and a simple switch to a solar bill instead of a

I completely understand it’s a very busy time of the year - with this current government-
subsidized program, there’s actually no upfront cost or installation fee so of course
everyone wants to get involved which makes us extremely busy as well… I’m sure you’d
agree that if could swap over to a lower power bill without taking any money out of your
pocket that would be a good use of time right?

I talked to my husband/wife - not interested.


I completely understand and that’s exactly why we’re coming around because with this
campaign there’s actually no upfront cost or installation fees so people who originally couldn’t
take advantage of solar can now look into it. If we can’t find a solution for you then we’ll
shake hands and move on to your neighbours as we actually have quite a few bookings in
that area, but if we can find a solution for you that’s going to save you heaps of money I’m
sure you’d be happy at least looking into it, correct?

This program is very different from previous ones because it’s supported by Government
subsidies. All that happens, if you are eligible, is your electricity will come from renewable
sources instead of the Power Grid. That’s why it doesn’t cost you anything extra now
because the Government wants to reward people for switching to Renewables like Solar. If
you do get approved, you simply swap over, your upfront solar install costs are covered, and
you start saving money from day one. Does that make sense?
Why Do you Need my Credit Score?

Great question! It determines what programs you qualify for. It’s the same as when they ask you

for your credit when you sign up for your utility company.

Important Notes

1- Let's Avoid the use of fillers!


-Using fillers and vocalized pauses can make You sound less professional.

-Eliminating fillers and vocalized pauses helps in delivering a message


clearly and effectively.

Note: Callers who speak confidently and without hesitation come across
as more knowledgeable and trustworthy.

Examples of fillers and vocalized pauses you must avoid:

2- When opening a call, don't start off with "Good


morning/afternoon/evening." Instead, just say "Hey!" or "Hi!"
and the contact's first and last name to create familiarity!

For example: "Hi, John Smith?" (wait for the "yes" response). Then,
continue with your script.
Don't ask people, "Am I talking to John Smith?" Just say "Hey!" or "Hi,
John Smith?" (wait for the "yes" response). Then, say, "This is *your
name*)..." and continue with your script normally..
3- Be very straightforward!
Don't ask people how they are doing or how their day is. You are cold
calling to offer them a program, and most people don't want to waste their
time. They want to get straight to the point.

4- Do not skip the name of the street when you are calling
someone. Giving people the street name gives us credibility, and people
trust us more."

5- Do not transfer a call if the contact pays LESS than $140 per
month on ELECTRIC ONLY. Ask them how much they pay in the winter,
how much they pay in the summer

6- Do not transfer a call/set an appointment if the contact hasn't


told you how much they pay or if they are homeowners or not.
Always make sure you gather that information. Your job is to determine if
these people prequalify for the program, and high bills and homeownership
are both prequalification.

7- Always sound confident and friendly from the beginning


till the end of the call to grab the seller’s attention.

8- Make sure you’re always carefully listening to what the


seller is saying, as they can give out information without you
asking as well as for them to feel that they don’t repeat themselves

9- Always build a rapport with the owners!
