Notes
Working in The Chain Space
A chain space is any space/hole/gap in your work that is
created by making a chain. The space is located below
the chain. Often times a chain space is made by making a
chain, then skipping a few stitches on the row to make
your next stitch. Normally when you crochet into a stitch
you insert your hook into the front and back loops of the
stitch. But when you are instructed to crochet into a
chain space, just insert your hook into the
space/hole/gap (underneath the chain) to make your
stitch. Essentially working around the chain with your
stitches. As you work in the chain space, it helps to scoot
your stitches along the chain as you work to makes space
for them.

Notes and Tips
Eye/Nose Embellishments:
Eye/Nose Embellishments can be added,
after the completion of each Little Critter,
as desired. For this pattern I have added
nose and eye embellishments on a few of
the Critters using a black crochet
embroidery thread.

Monkey R5 Tip: BLO stitch on R5 is for help with face shaping,

depending on your stitch technique or tension this might not be
necessary.

Bobble Stitch: After creating your Bobble Stitch use your finger
or the back of your crochet hook to poof it out more.

Color Change for BO/MBO: It is highly recommend to watch this

video on Color Change for Special Stitches before starting!

Bobble Stitch/Fin Placement: Depending on your tension you may

have to move your BO/MBO/Fin placement over by 1-2 stitches so
that they are centered correctly.

Manatee Nose: The nose for the Manatee is made by crocheting

around the chain.

Technique Recommendations: It is recommended to watch all

included stitch tutorial videos. Invisible Decrease is also
recommended for these patterns. Use of stitch marker is
recommended.

Yarn: Hobbii Baby Snuggle, Premier Parfait Chunky, and Chenille

Home Slim were the primary yarns used.
