The union of business and tasks in medical services proclaims a shift towards patient-focused
care, offering people a more extensive range of careful medical services decisions. This paper

to investigate its significant changes. Led through an orderly bibliographic survey, using data
sets, for example, Scopus, Science Direct, and PubMed traversing from 2008 to 2021, this
study utilizes the systemic structure proposed by Wester and Watson. A total of 5847 papers
were initially identified in August 2022 by categorizing them using concept-centric and ad hoc
classification systems. Of these, 321 met the inclusion criteria for further analysis. Information
technology in health, the educational implications of e-health, the adoption of e-health
technologies, telemedicine, and security concerns were the five thematic areas that 287 articles
were ultimately categorized into through subsequent refinement and the addition of relevant
studies. The multifaceted effects of digital transformation on healthcare, including personalized
healthcare, artificial intelligence, technology acceptance, and security, are illuminated in this
comprehensive examination.
