TUTORIAL ASSIGNMENT 3

1. My favorite food

The ingredients:

- 150 g tempe
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 egg
- 1 spoon Royco
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying

Here are the instructions:

• Mash the tempe with a fork.


• Put the mashed tempe in a bowl and mix with the flour and Royco, followedby an
egg.
• Shape the tempe into the size of a golf ball and flatten a little with a fork.
• Heat the vegetable oil in a medium flame. When the oil is hot, drop the tempe into
the oil, five or six at a time.
• Fry until golden brown on both sides, drain on absorbent paper and serve hot with
chili or sauce.

ANSWER:

a. The main ingredient of your favorite food, bregedel tempe, is tempe.

b. The egg is added after mixing the mashed tempe with flour and Royco. It is part of the

During the exam

• Listen to all instructions and announcements by invigilators and follow instructions


carefully as they will contain important information regarding both the detail of the
examination and the expected responsibilities of students until they have left the
venue.
• Do not communicate with any other candidate during the examination. Students
should note that this is not restricted to verbal communications and includes any
attempt to copy from another student’s work or allow their work to be copied from
them.
• Unauthorised communication between students will be dealt with inaccordance with
the academic misconduct procedure.
• Do not access any device or material that is not permitted in the exam.
• Unauthorised access to any devices or material that are not permitted willresult in
evidence being confiscated and dealt with in accordance with theacademic
misconduct procedure.

At the end of the exam

• A coordinating invigilator will announce to the room when the exam has twenty
minutes remaining, five minutes remaining and when the examination is ended.
Students should note these announcements to ensure they are prepared and all
documents that need to be submitted are filled in appropriately.
• Students are under examination conditions and should remain in silence when the
examination is ended listening to all closing instructions made by the invigilators.
• After the closing announcement invigilators will collect all required examinations
materials.
• No communication, verbal or otherwise is permitted during this period.
• Any unauthorised communication between students before permission has been given
to leave the examination venue may be dealt with in accordancewith the academic
misconduct procedure.
• Students will be specifically instructed when they have permission to leave the venue
and are no longer under exam conditions.

unauthorized communication and will be dealt with in accordance with the academic
misconduct procedure.

c. The coordinating invigilator announces when the exam has twenty minutes
remaining, five minutes remaining, and when the examination is ended.

ANSWER:

a. The two colleges where the percentage of male and female students is almost the
same are USC (University of Southern California) and Yale. Both have a male percentage of
51% and a female percentage of 49%.

b. The college with the greatest disparity between the percentage of male and female
students is Harvard, where the male percentage is 54%, and the female percentage is 46%.
