Academics
The school offers many excellent facilities for students to study all areas of the curriculum. All classrooms are spacious, well ventilated with sufficient light,
comfortable furniture and fitted with soft boards on the wall for displaying creative works of children. The school has computer lab with multimedia
computer, well equipped science laboratories, dance room, a music room with traditional and western musical instruments. We have a library with reading
room. The school also has Badminton and Volleyball courts. The school takes utmost care, so that the academic performances of the students are high. The
school has well experienced and dedicated teachers, who are experts in their respective fields. We are not only impart basics education, but also actively
involve the students in various activities. Projects, group discussions, practical etc which forms the basic part of our curriculum. Attention is given to each and
every student’s individuality.
Curriculum
The school follows the CBSE curriculum. English being the medium of instruction. DES has a proven curriculum developed by both NCERT & CBSE the country’s
best educational systems of the age. Our aim is to provide the essential academic , social and physical skills that a child needs in this challenging world. Our
curriculum concerns its self with the overall development of a child. The students of the school not only have high academic standards but also a high behavioral
standard.

Clas rooms are spacious and comfortable , enabled with all the teaching – learning resources to make the classroom
Activities interesting and engaging for the students.
Examinations
Home works, project works, weekly/unit tests and semester exams are means of assessment that show growth of the student as well as reveal the areas
of weakness. Parents and students are expected to give due seriousness to them as they form integral part of the teaching learning programme.
Under no circumstances can any arrangement be made to hold any examination before or after the dates as laid down by the school management.
Any use of unfair means and/or receiving or giving assistance in any form during a Test or an Examination (detected during or subsequently) or
tampering with the evaluated answer papers in any way, or altering the report card, etc. will be punishable at the discretion of the school authorities. Any
student detected using any unfair means will be debarred from continuing the examination and the respective examination will be cancelled which will
affect his/her final promotion. In such cases the parents will be called immediately and suitable punishment may be given. In serious and repeated cases,
the student will be asked to leave the school altogether.
All students need to get the admit card for appearing in any of the exams. Admit card will be issued only after fulfilling the requirements of that
term/quarter like projects and homework, etc. and after the payment of fees up to that term/quarter.
After every first and second terminal examination the parents are invited to see the answer sheets of their wards and to interact with the class
teacher and subject teachers and to take the report card. The parent/guardian of every student is expected to come on these assigned dates. Signing and
taking the report card/result of each semester is necessary for the student's continuation in the next semester.
Promotion of students from one standard to another will be made at the end of the school academic year on the basis of the year's record of work
along with the average of the exams held during the whole year. Regular attendance and steady work, therefore, will be conditions for promotion.
To pass in a subject a student should secure minimum of 33% of marks in a subject..
Any student who has less than 75% of attendance during the academic year shall be disqualified for promotion.
The results declared at the end of the year are final and cannot be reconsidered.
A student who repeats consecutively, twice in the same standard will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school.
No re-test/re-examination is held for a student who fails to appear for the test/examination. Such an absence without a grave reason and without
the approval of the Principal implies incompletion and will require the student to repeat to complete the studies.
Absence from a test/examination implies total loss of marks for those subjects and excludes a student from being considered for a prize.
A student who has received promotion to the next standard need to enroll his/her name in the respective class within the prescribed time after
paying the first quarterly fees and submitting the signed undertaking ensuring your willingness to abide by the rules and regulations of the school.
A student who does not enroll and turn up for class within ten working days after the beginning of the new academic session will be considered as
left the school by his/her own decision.

LABORATORIES
To develop investigative skill, separate fully equipped labs for Physics, Chemistry and Computers are available, “learning by doing” opportunities
help students in reviewing and reinforcing scientific and experimental concept.

DES has one computer laboratory featuring many computer systems. The Computers in the
lab have been upgraded with appropriate software to enables students from class VI to
compile and run programs in Java with net beans and C++ along with Flash -8 applications as
per the syllabus. On the other hand, enable students to learn net, Ms – office, Paintbrush, Logo,
Adobe Flash, Kid Pix , Java, Corel Draw, Power Point,

Our science labs are sophisticated and fully equipped to meet CBSE Curriculum requirements for Physics,
Chemistry and Biology. There are numerous preserved biological specimens to observe and study. The
equipment for Physics allows students to perform experiments and study various principles and laws.
Wide range of chemicals and apparatus provide the students vast experience in learning Chemistry by
doing practical.

In addition, the school has a computerized mathematics laboratory. It is an activity

ADMISSION
Deep English School has the right to admit and retain students in this school according to its policy, in conformity with the provisions and instructions
issued by the appropriate authority from time to time (A right granted by the constitution of India and upheld by the Supreme Court of India in the context of
RTE).
Boys and girls are admitted to all classes ( Nur to eight ) upto 40 students. Students are eligible for admission in different classes as per given Age
Limitation:
The candidates seeking admission to classes Nursery to std.eight must be of the age noted against each on April 01, 23 for the session
2023 - 2024. No relaxation in the age will be allowed.
Class Nursery : 3 ½ yr. to 4 years
Class I : 5 to 7 years
Class VI : 10 to 12 years
Class : 13 to 15 years
In case of casual vacancies in any other class, information regarding its process will be given in April after the beginning of the new academic
session
Admission is taken only at the beginning of the academic session. There is no admission in between the academic session after the admission
process is officially closed.
A candidate for admission, who has attended a recognized school, cannot enter without the School Leaving or Transfer Certificate from the school
last attended. Date of birth cannot be changed once the child has been admitted to the school.
Parents and guardians are warned that admissions are made strictly according to the guidelines prescribed by the Governing Body of the School.
Any pressure for admission by offer of donation, letter of recommendation or influence of any nature will automatically disqualify the candidate for
admission to any standard.
Admissions are done solely by the Management, based on the overall merit of the applicant. Furthermore, no individual connected with the school
or otherwise is authorized to accept any emoluments in lieu of admission.

This school lays great emphasis on discipline. Slackness, disobedience and disregard of the rules will
not be tolerated.
Any negligence of good manners or common sense, any work or action likely to lower the image of the school is regarded as breach of school discipline.
The school reserves the right to expel students whose diligence or progress in studies is considered unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other
students. Immorality, Insubordination or contempt of authority and breaking bounds of causing damage to school property is always sufficient reason for
immediate expulsion or rustication.
1. Parents are requested not to enter classrooms to see their children or teachers during school hours.
2. Parents are required to inform the school if there is any change in their address and telephone numbers.
3. Leave for half day should not be asked for, for security reason. In emergency, written permission must be
taken Principal through the class teacher.
5. Parent’s attention is drawn to the fact that criticism of the school or teacher in the presence of child should be scrupulously avoided because it causes the
students to loss respect for their teachers with the consequent failure to learn from them and will retard his/her progress.
6. Should there be any legitimate complaint. Please meet the Principal at the earliest or write to him and the com
plain will be personally verified. The parent may also drop their written complaint in the “complaint drop box”
which is directly attended by the Principal himself.
7. Any communication made by the Parent/Guardians should be addressed to the Principal through the class
teacher and the Principal will make all correspondence from the school to the parents.
8. Parent’s are required to co-operate with the school in its attempt to help their children progress by paying
attention to their regularity, punctuality and discipline and to interest to their children’s work
. They should check the school diary everday and note the homework and other instruction given. They are advised to check the bags of their wards to
see if any circular /notice/invitation etc. has been issued.
9. Care must be taken of all school property and if any damage is done, it will be made good by the concerned
student together with a fine imposed for the offence.
10. Parent’s are advised not to give any pocket money to students
.
11. Students are advised not to bring valuable articles e.g. expensive watch, fountain pens, transistors, cameras,
Calculators mobile or jeweler to school. In case of loss of valuable articles, the authorities will try their best to trace the items out but shall not undertake
any responsibility for the loss.
12. All students are expected to join the school on notified date at the beginning of the session or after each vacation
.
13. Those absent without sanctioned leave will be fined Rs.5/- per day.
14. Absence just before the vacation and immediately after the vacation renders the student to pay a
fine of Rs.5 per day.
15. It is compulsory for a student to complete 75% of the attendance in the year to make him/her eligible to appear
for the final examinations
.
16. Parent’s and Guardians will appreciate that absence during the term is not in the best interest of students. They
are asked not to apply for the leave if avoidable. Short leave can be granted to a student only on the
following grounds :
17. The ward of those parents, who avoid meeting the authorities, when advised to do so, may not be allowed to
attend the classes.
18. Parents are advised to personally see off and receive their wards at van /rickshaw stop.
19. Children proceeding on excursion, visits, tours, picnics, etc. will be brought and picked up from school by
parents only.
20. Parents must first consult the school calendar, date sheets and other circulars before making enquiries over the phone.
21. Even if the students are admitted late during the term, fees for the whole academic session will be charged.
22. Parents and Guardians are requested to read and explain the school rules to their wards.
23. Collection and distribution of lunch packets are strictly prohibited in the school campus

6. They should always be ready to lend a helping hand at home to their parents, brothers and sisters , in school to
teachers, companions and any unattended visitor whom they happen to meet on the school premises.

1 A student must be regular and punctual, the parents must ascertain it.
2 Even an application for leave (on any ground) does not entitle a student to earn attendance for the period of a
leave/absence
3 Student will only be allowed to appear in the annual examination, if he/she would have at least 75% attendance
of the total working days during the whole session.
4 No re-examination /retest will be allowed to the students if he/she is absent or on leave during the examination
due to any reason (including the medical ground).
5 From class seven onwards, the promotion to the next class will be considered only if he /she secures at least
45%marks in each subject at the time of the consolidated result (annual result)
6 Only parents (mother or father) or one person authorized by the parents may discuss any matter concerning the
ward but the behavior of the parents/the authorized person as mentioned above must be respectful and
polite with the school authorities and the staff members.
7 In case of any misbehavior on the part of the parents/the guardian of the student, the student will be removed
from the school immediately and no claim for refund of fee will be entertained.
8 A student will also be removed from the school if he/she uses any unfair means in the examination/test or
indulge in any activity of indiscipline theft or damage to school property.
9 A student will not be allowed to carry any valuables/heavy amount with him/her to the school. The school will
not be responsible for the loss of such articles.
10 The school will not be responsible for the loss of cycle /scooter active it is parked by the students at their own
risk
11 A student will be allowed to attend the school only if he/she is in proper prescribed school uniform. Otherwise
the student will be asked to return to his/her home.
12 Changing of the class rooms between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly manner.
13 No shouting or whistling is allowed in or around the hostel /school building. Running in corridors is strictly
prohibited.
14 Care must be taken of all school properties and no student should scratch or spoil the desk or chairs or damage
any school furniture or write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others.
Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Principal.
15 Any damage done will be repaired by the concerned students together with fine imposed on him/her for such

16 Leading or borrowing of money or other article is not permitted.
17 Students who come to school in the care of servants should never leave the campus before the servant arrives.
Those who go home alone should not loiter about on the way but be prompt in returning home straight.
Students are warned not to buy anything, especially eatables from street vendors.
18 The School reserves for itself the right to terminate the schooling of students with unsatisfactory progress in
studies or WHOSE CONDUCT IS A BAD PRECEPT FOR OTHERS.
20 Students who absent themselves on special working days such as Saturday and on the last working days prior
to the exams, vacations and break and on the re-opening days will be fined @ Rs.50/- per day of absence.
21 A student will have to compulsorily participate in all co-curricular activities excursion/educational tour, other
activities besides academics. The participation is compulsory as in such activities the students has to obtain at
least C grade in order to be eligible for promotion to the next class. The promotion will not be granted if the
grade is below D grade, even if he/she secures the required pass percentage in the written examination (as
per the new C.B.S.E. norms).
22 Name of the student will be struck off the school rolls (without any notice to the parents/guardians) if :
(a) He/She remains absent continuously for 15 days from the school without proper advance permission
from or intimation to the school.
(b) He/She has not paid either the tuition fees or the van \Rickshaw fee (as the case may be) for four
consecutive months. However readmission will be allowed (if seat is vacant) on the payment of full
admission fee.
23 Discontinuation of the school conveyance service will not be allowed only at the change of session i.e. from
April. If transport service is availed the fee will be charged up to the end of the session (for all 12 months).
24 No fee is refundable after issuing the receipt in any case. Please note that the fee is charged bimonthly in
advance
25 A clear calendar one month’s notice in writing or one month’s fee in lieu of notice should be given before a
pupil can be with drawn from the school. Transfer certificate is not issued until all the dues of the school are
settled.
26 Fee structure is subject to change at any time without prior notice.
27 Although the school management takes proper care to avoid any accident / casualty but will hold no
responsibility for any accident / casualty if occurs to the student.
28 Suitable prizes / certificates are given to the students for the participation &performance in the school activities.
29 The school will also not be responsible for any student traveling by the school van / rickshaw in case of any
nuisance caused by the anti social elements.
30 A parent management body has been formed to discuss very specific issues of the parents. This body consists
two parents, two teachers and principal to solve the parent’s problem. Therefore any problem of serious nature
can be discussed with this body which will seat quarterly. Decision of the parent management body will be
final.
31 Any addition in the school rules ®ulations will be acceptable to me, even if it is added during the session.
