1 Introduction

This design note presents the design of stay cable blister block at concrete deck level for ROB.

1. General Considerations
Grade of concrete 50 Mpa
Grade of steel (fy) 500 Mpa
Ultimate tensile stress of prestressing steel 1860 Mpa
Maximum no of strands 55 nos

5 Bursting Reinforcement

The Bursting reinforcement will be provided in the form of sprial reinforcement as per manufacture
manual.

6 Calculation of bearing stress behind Anchorage as per IRC SP 105 (pg no.160)

Tensioning will be done at the 10th day of casting of blister


Concrete strength at 10th day
Cube strength = 40 Mpa
Cylindrical strength = 32 Mpa
