Q1. Briefly describe yourself as a person.

I would describe myself as a detail-oriented and adaptable individual. I believe in the power of
collaboration and teamwork, which allows me to thrive in diverse work environments and work with
different people.
Integrity and continuous learning are values that guide my actions both personally and
professionally. Outside of work, I'm passionate about travelling, which helps me to learn different
culture, gain different perspective and adapt in any situation. I like finding new and better ways to get
things done and I think it's important to communicate openly. I'm eager to keep learning and
improving, especially in a supportive team environment. Overall, I'm someone who values efficiency,
open communication, and the opportunity to learn and grow with a supportive team.
Q2. What are your strengths and areas of improvement?

Strengths:
I consider myself to be detail-oriented, adaptable, and a strong team player. My attention to detail
ensures accuracy in my work, while my adaptability allows me to thrive in diverse environments.
Additionally, I highly value collaboration and actively contribute to team success.

Weaknesses:
One area I'm continually working to improve is my patience in certain situations. While I'm generally
focused on delivering results efficiently, I recognize that patience is crucial in scenarios that require a
longer-term perspective. I'm actively taking steps to develop this skill by actively listening to teams
and empathizing with them on the various roadblocks that they face to move forward. I believe that
acknowledging and working on this aspect will contribute to my overall growth as a professional.

Q3. Describe a time when you went over and above your job expectation and the motivation behind it?

In my current role I also handle the PNL for Modern Trade channel. While analysing the PNL, I
identified that the efficiency of the visibility spends was not as per expectations. This was raised
multiple times to the management, however limited movement was observed.
In order to understand the core of the problem, I went to the stores, spoke with the promoters and
understood where the gap is. This also helped me to understand what the competition was doing and
why were we not able to generate sales from the visibility.
My motivation to do this comes out of my dream to be CEO of a company and leading it by example.

Q4. Name three things that you have done in the past two years to grow in your career?

1. Seeking Challenging Opportunities and Taking Initiative: In Dabur, I joined as an Ecom


Finance Head in Feb’2021 for a portfolio of 500 cr. An opportunity arise for MT head and I
took up the challenge to head both the workstreams i.e. Ecom and MT and started to look at a
portfolio of 2000 cr.

2. Cross-Functional Experience: As I have been closely working with the business teams, I have
taken multiple initiatives to understand their KRA’s and their work to a deep level. At multiple
points I could provide very relevant and strategic ideas in their launch and marketing
strategies which has been well appreciated in my organization. Although, this has immensely
helped in my role as well to perform better during various negotiations and vendor recoveries.

3. Training in Sales and Marketing: I am also taking part in any workshop which the company
organizes for sales and marketing. This enables me to get updates of the market along with an
understanding of what and how my counterparts think. This will help in presenting my view
points in a way the sales and marketing can better understand.
Q5. Give examples to illustrate how you have generated ideas that are out of the box. Describe the
outcomes.
In Q1 22 we were breaching the gross contribution (GC) guardrails since we were selling more of
Juices which low GC. While we would have achieved our topline target, we would not have achieved
the Budget GC.
To achieve the budgets I suggested to sell more of oral care and home care segments since they have
higher GC. We created a campaign on the two segments provided lucrative offers and launched the
same of Amazon and Flipkart.
It was an immediate success and since that each year we launch a similar campaign in Q1 to combat
higher juice salience.

Q6. What is your single largest achievement so far? Why do you consider it to be the largest?
My single largest achievement so far was starting a new vertical in OYO. It was my foray into a startup
world after 6 years in ITC which was a process driven organisation. In a matter of 3 months, I was
able to pitch the idea to the board and received a separate funding from Softbank to consider it as a
separate group. We were able to partner with 900 kitchens PAN India and I was the founding
member of the core team.

Q7. Tell us about your management style.

Well there is no definitive answer to my management style, it depends upon the situation and the
type of team I am handling.
Majorly my management style is Consultative, wherein I take feedback from the team on decisions
that must be taken and in case of a difference in opinion come to common conclusion.

Q8. Anything specific you would like to mention with respect to your candidature for the mentioned
Role?
As head of business finance, I feel the individual has to have these three qualities: Strategic thinker,
problem solver and collaboration.

In the last decade of my work experience I have honed all three of them and would be a suitable fit for
the role.
