To our guardian, who persistently give us financially, ethically and spiritually from

the time began conducting this research until its completion. They would moreover like

to praise them for the unending understanding and resolute motivations. To our

research instructor, Mrs. Ludivina C. Cero, who through our guidance and

encouragement to helped a lot to boost our ideas and skills in writing and for sharing

her knowledge and expertise. To our friends and group mates, who have been there to

This study is warmheartedly dedicated to our beloved parents, who have been

our source of inspiration and strength throughout this research. Their continuous moral,

spiritual, emotional and financial support to us has helped us finish this research.

We also dedicate this research to the Almighty God for his guidance, power of

mind and protection and for giving us a healthy life to be able to carry out this research

paper. All of this we offer to you.

We dedicate this research also to our research instructor Mrs. Ludivina C. Cero

for her tremendous effort and patience to guide us throughout the research and helped

us to better understand the key points of this research.

And to our classmates and Friends who shared their words of advice and

encouragement that helped us to motivate to finish this research.

ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to analyze the influence of teacher profession on

student achievement. Surveys were conducted to teachers in Gingoog Christian

College, where enumerated sampling procedure used in the selection of the

respondent. This study was supported with the theory by Darling Hammond, Hyler and

Garner (2017) define effective professional development as structured professional

learning leads to changes in teacher practices and improve student learning Outcomes.

This study focus on how the influence of the teacher can developed the

academic performance of the pupils in Gingoog Christi all College. In which the

influence of the teachers towards the student achievement is most of the respondents

are totally agreed that common forms of professional development Include workshops,

seminars and etc. And can positively impact student achievement by equipping

teachers with new strategies, tools and etc. Based On the data gathering some schools

and educators have implemented effective teaching method to develop the academic

performance of the pupils were to improved the student participation in the class.

This study used descriptive research design and used the survey questionnaires

as the researcher’s instrument to gathered data. Furthermore, this study used weighted

mean to determine the average of the ratings. The goal of the teacher profession is to

create an environment in which all students have an opportunity to fully take part in the

class and improve the outcome based education on the students.
