    Technical Definition
    In technical communication, Technical Definition describes and explains technical terminology.
    It is used to introduce the vocabulary which makes communication in a particular field clear and
    understandable.

    1. Technical Definition can give exact meaning of a vague or ambiguous term.


    Example:
    The device should not be used at high temperatures.

    2. Technical Definition explains what makes an object or concept unique.


    Example:
    Computer is an electronic device for storing and processing data, typically in binary form,
    according to instructions given to it in a variable program.

    Purpose of Technical Definitions

    a. It answers the question, “What exactly are we talking about?”


    b. It spells out the exact meaning of the term that can be interpreted in different manner.
    c. It explains what makes an item or concept distinct from others.
    d. It helps general public to understand and evaluate complex technical ideas.
