    A Detailed Lesson Plan in English for Grade 9

    Through a collaborative learning, the students are able to:
    A. Correct the misspelled words in the story;
    B. Appreciate and value the importance of spelling; and
    C. Participate in the spelling relay group activity.

    A. PRELIMINARIES

    B. MOTIVATION

    - Today you are going to play a game which is


    called “SPELLING RELAY”. Once you are
    grouped, you stand in line and I will give a
    word then the first student will give the first
    letter then the next student will give the
    second letter and so on and so forth until
    they finish the given word correctly.
    - Each group will have different word to spell,
    the score will be the best of three.

    C. ESTABLISHING A PURPOSE

    - Please take note of the question, why is

    at the end of the period.

    D. PRESENTATION OF THE LESSON

    - Find the twenty misspelled words and circle Misspelled words and the correct spelling

    the skool. Intrigued, Alex decided to find this secret - formr (former)
    passage. He followed the clues from the diary, - discovered (dscovered)
    sneaking around the skool after hours. Finally, he - passage (passage)
    found the secret door hiden behind an old peinting. - hiden (hidden)
    He pushed it opn and was greted by a room filled - peinting (painting)
    with old skool tropies and artefacs. Alex reelized that

    he had discovered a part of his skool’s history that

    spelling important? - Ma’am, learning spelling is important
    because good spelling avoids
    - That is correct. Poor spelling distracts the confusion where the reader can
