Crochet frog

Materials
- 4 mm (F) hook
- Worsted/Aran weight yarn in two colors- main and secondary
- 5 mm safety eyes
- Poly-fil/stuffing
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors

Stitch guide
- mc = magic circle
- sc = single crochet
- ch = chain
- st = stitch
- sl st = slip stitch
- inc = two sc in one st (increase)
- invdec = invisible decrease
- dec = decrease
- (sc 3, inc) x 4 = repeat what’s in the parentheses 4 times

Pattern

Eyes- in main color

1 mc 6, sl st to first st, then cut 6

Body- in main color

1 mc 6, sl st to first st 6

2 sc 3, ch 2, sc 6 around first eye, sc 2 in ch 2 you just made, sc 14


3 around first eye

3 sc 3, 2 sc in other side of ch, sc 11 16

4-6 sc 16 16

Add eyes between rows 2 and 3


7 sc 3, inc, sc 2, inc, sc 9 (center increases at back of body) 18

8 sc 18 18

9 sc 12, invdec 2, sc 2 (center invdecs at back of body) 16

Begin stuffing.

10 (sc 2, invdec) x 4 12

11 (invdec, sc) x 4 8

Finish stuffing.

Cut and finish off.

Legs (make 2)- in main color

Cut and leave about a foot of yarn to sew with.

Arms (make 2)- in main color

Stomach- in secondary color

4 dec 2- you’re going to be using the center stitch in each of the 2


two decreases- as the second stitch in the first decrease, and
as the first stitch in the second decrease.
sc around the edge, placing 2 sc in the bottom corners.

Cut and leave about a foot and a half of yarn to sew with.

Sewing
Sew the stomach on first, with the top of the stomach starting between rows 4 and 5 on
the body. The top of the stomach should be the narrower part.

Sew the legs on between rows 7 and 10 on the body, and near the outsides of the
stomach. They should overlap a little bit.

Sew the arms on above the stomach.
