PERSONAL STATEMENT
A highly motivated and compassionate nurse with high aspirations and commitment for
supporting and promoting good health in the society. Passion driven to practicing the nursing
profession as well as being a mentor to patients with the ability to manage patients to my level
best. I am seeking the position of a registered nurse to provide quality patient care and to
contribute to a health care team.

Roles and responsibilities.
• Conduct regular check -ups to monitor the health of pregnant women and providing
education on prenatal nutrition and their overall well-being.
• Perform routine tests and screening to identify any potential risks for complication as
well as offering emotional support and counselling services to expectant mothers and
their families.
• Preparation and administration of vaccines to children according to the immunization
schedule as well as educate parents on the importance of immunization, keeping their
records and scheduling follow up doses.
• Provide post-partum care to mothers and newborns after delivery for instance assisting
with breastfeeding support and newborn care education as well as monitoring their
physical and emotional recovery.
• Assisting individuals and couples in choosing the most suitable contraceptive methods as
well as conducting regular check-ups to monitor the effectiveness and safety of the
chosen methods.
LOCUM EXPERIENCE.
LUTON HOSPITAL – 1 FEBRUARY TO 29 FEBRUARY 2024
Worked as a locum nurse on Luton hospital which located in Nairobi city China Centre opposite
Coptic Hospital. Provided coverage and support in three departments; maternity, medical unit
and outpatient department.

Roles and responsibilities.


Maternity Ward.
• Provided comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care to expectant mothers and
newborns.
• Assisted with labor and delivery, including monitoring vital signs and providing
emotional support.
• Collaborated with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe and supportive
environment for mothers and babies.

Medical and outpatient department.


• Assessing and triaging patients according to the severity of their condition as well as
providing them with the immediate care.
• Administering necessary treatment and medications as well as monitoring their progress.
