This document is reference for dismantle work of BFP&BFBP.
Summary of dismantle work
3. REMOVING THE BEARING AND MECHANICAL SEALS 4. REMOVING THE CASING COVER
1. REMOVING THE AUX. PIPING & INSTRUMENTS 1) REMOVE THE BEARING HOUSING-DE SIDE. 1) REMOVE THE HEX. NUT AND SET THE LIFTING TOOL.
1) OPEN DRAIN VALVE AND DRAIN WATER IN - REMOVE THE BEARING HOUSING-UPPER HALF. 2) HOOK-UP THE CASING COVER WITH WIRE ROPE(or SLING BELT).
THE OUTER CASING. - REMOVE THE RADIAL BEARING AND BEARING HOUSING-LOWER HALF. 3) REMOVE THE CASING COVER BY THE JACK BOLT FROM THE OUTER CASING.
2) REMOVE THE AUX. PIPING AND - REMOVE THE DEFLECTOR. 4) MAKE THE CASING COVER MOVE ALONG THE SHAFT CAREFULLY NOT SO AS
INSTRUMENTS AROUND PUMP. 2) REMOVE THE BEARING HOUSING-NDE SIDE. TO GIVE ANY DAMAGE TO THE SHAFT.
- REMOVE THE BEARING HOUSING COVER, BEARING HOUSING-UPPER 5) PUT THE CASING COVER ON THE WOODEN BOARD.
2. REMOVING THE COUPLING HALF AND THRUST BEARING.
1) REMOVE THE COUPLING GUARD, COUPLING - REMOVE THE INNER PARTS IN THE BEARING HOUSING SUCH AS
SPACER. COUPLING NUT AND COUPLING HUB. THRUST COLLAR NUT, SET RING, THRUST COLLAR, LOCATING RING,
OIL SEAL RING, OIL SEAL RING RETAINER AND RADIAL BEARING.
- REMOVE THE BEARING HOUSING-LOWER HALF AND THE DEFLECTOR.
3) REMOVE THE MECHANICAL SEAL CARTRIDGE.
4) THE SHAFT SURFACE SHOULD BE PROTECTED NOT SO AS TO GIVE ANY
DAMAGE BY THE ADQUATE RUBBER SHEET.
5. ASSEMBLE THE EXTRACTOR FOR INNER PART 6. PULL-OUT THE INNER CARTRIDGE 7. DISMANTLINIG THE INNER PARTS
1) ASSEMBLE THE EXTRACTOR ON THE SHAFT DE SIDE. 1) PULL OUT THE INNER CARTRIDGE UP TO THE POSITION 1) LAY THE INNER CARTRIDGE ON THE WOODEN BOARD
2) HOOK UP THE INNER CARTRIDGE WITH WIRE ROPE(or WHERE THE WIRE ROPE(or SLING BELT) SHALL BE ABLE TO ON THE FLOOR WITH CARFUL ATTENTION NOT SO AS

2.1 BFP – prepare to dismantle

2.2 BPF NDE side bearing box removal

Bearing Box Removal (NDE Side) 6) Loosen set ring screws and remove trust collar nut (1282) by using extractor which is

2.4 BPF Mechanical Seal Removal

1) Place spacers (Setting Disc) for correct positing of seal before removal of
mechanical seal.
(Refer to Note 5 for BP, Note 4 for BFP on mechanical seal drawings.)
2) Loosen cap-screws of mechanical seal
3) Refer to mechanical seal instruction for detailed information on disassembly and

2.5 BPF Casing Cover (1180) Removal

5.1.9 Casing Cover (1180) Removal 4) Remove the balance bush (1272)
1) Loosen nuts and washers holding the casing cover by hydraulic torque wrench. 5) Remove o-ring & back-up ring (1731D) on balance bush
2) Remove after pull the casing cover toward non driving side by using Jack bolt. In
the interest of balancing the shaft, use the crane and chain blocks to support. Close
attention should be paid not to damage on shaft surface. Disassembled casing cover
must be adequately supported by wood blocks to prevent even little movement.
3) Remove the spiral wound gasket (1734B) and adjusting ring (1737)
※ When reassembling, all gasket and o-rings must be replaced with new ones.
