PRODUCTIVITY TOOLS
It refers to the software that people use to create and produce documents, presentations,
databases, charts, and graphs.
Productivity tools helps you create professional quality documents, presentation, graphics, and
more.

MICROSOFT WORD
• the most important word-processing office application used by students, teachers, IT
professionals and companies etc. around the world.

MICROSOFT EXCEL
Electronic spreadsheet programs were originally based on paper spreadsheets used for
accounting. As such, the basic layout of computerized spreadsheets is the same as the paper
ones. Related data is stored in tables — which are a collection of small rectangular boxes or
cells organized into rows and columns.

• Charts: We can use charts to represent the data in rich visualized graphical
representation.
• Shapes: We can create verity of shapes to represent the data in shapes and info-
graphics. We can draw any shape with the free form feature in Excel.
• SmartArts: We can use the SmartArts to align the data in a creative designs and
visually communicate the information.
• Clip Arts: We can add the ready to use clip arts to convey our message in pictorial
representation.
• Pictures: We can insert any image to enhance the objects. Example backgrounds of
Worksheets, Shapes and Charts.

type of the data. We can also provide the drop-down to choose from the pre-defined
list.
• Grouping: We can group the rows and columns with parent and child records.

HYPERLINK
A hyperlink or simply a link, is a
reference data that the reader can directly follow
either by clicking or tapping. Hyperlinks are
found in nearly all Web pages, allowing users to
click their way from one page to another.
In text hyperlinks are often color blue and
underlined. When you move the cursor over a
hyperlink, whether it is text, button or an image,
the arrow cursor should be change to a small
hand pointing to the link.
