    MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING


    9:00 a.m. Monday, 31 August, 2020,
    Ground Floor, Barangay Hall, Matimbubong, San Ildefonso, Bulacan

    I. National Anthem.
    The singing of the National Anthem was led by SK Councilor Irene Claire V. Manio.

    II. Prayer.
    SK Councilor Maricon Verde uttered a prayer to bless the meeting and for the SK
    Council of barangay Matimbubong to be guided with the aid of the Almighty.

    III. Call to Order


    SK Chairperson Reynbert Evangelista called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. The
    appointed secretary Mark Sierra E. Alba take the minutes of the meeting.

    IV. Reading and Approval of the Minutes of the Previous Meeting


    The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. Any
    corrections, if any, shall be transmitted to the Secretary within five (5) working days.
    If there is none, the minutes shall be deemed approved.

    V. Determination of Quorum
    SK Chairperson Evangelista instructed Mr.Alba to take the roll call of the
    Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Barangay Matimbubong. Present were:

    I. New Business

    1. Free Tutorial for Children and Youth

    The SK Chairperson said that the Sangguniang Kabataan will conduct a free tutorial for
    children and out of school youth starting on September, 2020. It will be headed by
    Education Committee, SK Councilor IRENE CLAIRE V. MANIO. SK Officials should
    instantly start planning and list down the names of possible / target participants.

    2. Budget proposal for the year 2021

    The SK Chairperson mentioned that there will be upcoming seminars regarding the SK
    Funds & Appropriations. She also said that a bank account must be opened, and they
    are doing the process step by step. They were already bonded through the Provincial
    Treasury of Bulacan, they already have the Sangguniang Kabataan TIN Number, and
    now preparing for the 3rd step which is opening a current/checking account through

    Veterans Bank, Baliuag Branch. The SK Chairperson encouraged the councilors to have
    more patience when it comes to doing more comprehensive projects for the Youth of
    Matimbubong as the budget and funds is soon to be more accessible.

    3. Other concerns

    On the upcoming programs and priority projects, the SK Chairperson asked the SK
    Councilors to have a list of their suggested plans. He further said that she will call for
    another meeting to discuss their proposals and ideas for the virtual schooling of
    students.

    II. Commitee Reports

    a. SK Councilor MARK JAYSON C. ROLDAN – Committee on Sports

    On SK Councilor Roldan’s clarification about allowing the youth to play basketball, the
    SK Chairperson said that the Interagency Task Force of the Municipality headed by
    Mayor Carla Galvez-Tan, still does not permit playing of sports that may cause physical
    contact of players and may result to transmittal of virus. He said that it would be better to
    explain this nicely to the youth who keep on insisting if they can already play or they
    may be subject to violations of rules.

    b. SK Councilor MARICON VERDE – Committee on Education

    SK Councilor Verde said that she will think of some strategies and will start planning for
    the free summer tutorial and for the online classes. The SK Chairperson told her to also
    consider the budget needed for the foods, materials, and other logistics.

    c. SK Councilor JOMEL R. SOLANGON – Committee on Health

    SK Councilor Solangon said that he is thinking of a feeding program especially for the
    youth affected by the pandemic. He will try to estimate the cost/budget, other things to
    be considered, and the location where the program shall be taken.

    d. SK Councilor IRENE CLAIRE V. MANIO – Committee on Environment

    SK Councilor Manio said that Sangguniang Kabataan officials together with Katipunan
    ng Kabataan should try to re-execute “Clean and Green” project in the barangay. In that
    way, youth could be involved in environmental programs and may learn and start caring
    for the surroundings of the barangay.

    III. Adjournment

    There having no more matters to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 11:18 a.m.
