Review:
Begin the class by reviewing the basic concepts of psychoanalysis,
including its origin with Sigmund Freud, its main concepts such as the
unconscious mind, the id, ego, and superego, defense mechanisms,

Activity

Motivation:
Prompt a class discussion by asking students about their own dreams
and whether they believe these dreams might have meanings related
to their daily lives, as Freud suggested. Encourage them to think about
how understanding the unconscious could be helpful or not.
Workshop: "Freudian Analysis in Action"

Divide the class into small groups. Provide each group with a case
study that includes a description of a person's dreams, behaviors, and
experiences. Each group will use psychoanalytic theory to analyze the
case study.
