How Has The Great War Affected Everyone In The Early 1900
s
The great war effected everyone during the early 1900 s. Many do not know why it
happened or what was benefited from it. World war 1 was named the Great War
because of the impact it had on the world. There are many factors, both large and small,
that have contributed to starting the Great War. But no one knows why it had to happen,
the factors were not big enough to start a large scale war. First and foremost, the
assassination of Franz Ferdinand. This assassination is the largest contribute to the start
of the war. Franz Ferdinand was the archduke of Austria before the war started. Franz
was assassinated in Sarajevo, Bosnia. The assassins were waiting for Franz in Sarajevo.
After two attempts, the assassins killed Franz Ferdinand. Gavrilo Princip was the man
who shot Franz and his wife in a car on a busy street in Sarajevo. Austria saw this as an
attack by the entire country of Serbia, and not by only the association that planned the
assassination. After a month of the killing, Austria Hungary declared war on Serbia,
starting the Great War. The assassination was followed... Show more content on

Of the dead, 11 million were of military personnel and 6 million were civilians. These
stats made this the deadliest conflict in human history. Governmental changes spread
throughout Europe consisting of socialistic ideas and republican governments.
Monarchies went down and different government systems took over. Economic changes
spread throughout Europe as well. The production of automobiles, airplanes, radios, etc.
went up dramatically in European countries. The war ended with the signing of the
treaty of versailles, the humiliating and devastating treaty that Germany and Austria
Hungary was forced to sign. Germany and Austria Hungary had to pay 33 billion (US
dollars) for war costs and reparations. This debt devastated the two countries for the
many decades yet to come, and led to world war
The Virtue Of Diversity
Within the first ten minutes of the most anticipated night on television, Jimmy Kimmel
arrived in style with the help of Game of Thrones Khaleesi and her dragon, roasted
Republican candidate Donald Trump, and bragged about Hollywood s growing diversity.

Are we ready to make the Emmy s great again?, joked Kimmel at the end of his opening
monologue.

The 68th Annual Emmy Awards on Sep. 18 marked the second time that the late night
TV host emceed the awards, previously hosting it in 2012 when the event last aired on
ABC. While the evening celebrated performances in the television industry, the nominees
shared the stage with hot button issues such as diversity in Hollywood and politics in
America.

But it s good because people who do watch the show may not realize that the actress or
actor up there feels that way towards a certain community. It s good because [people
within that community] might feel like they have an ally.

The FX mini series, People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, dominated the
Emmy Awards, taking home eight awards including outstanding limited series. Game of
Thrones, awarded best drama series, set a new record this year, having won more Emmy
s than any primetime series in history.

With the Emmy s being one of the first award shows of the 2016 2017 season, it s yet to
be seen whether the issues of diversity and politics resurface in upcoming award shows.

I think it kind of set the stage, especially compared to the Oscars with that being such a
big deal that there was a lack or color and diversity, said Gerald. I don t really know
how it all works, how they decide who are the judges and that kind of thing. Ultimately,
I think that the whole concept of diversity and using the award show as a model for it is
Cooperation In Fever 1793
Cooperation is a big part of our lives. If we did not have cooperation we would all be at
war, thinking our own opinion was correct. In Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson,
Mattie the main character survives fever while cooperating with not only people but
anything of natural disasters, and in the end of the book every character changed
tremendously, physically and mentally. In the book the author shows cooperation
through what fever itself serves them, also Eliza, Mattie, Nell, and the twins show the
most cooperation throughout the book.

The first theme is fever cooperation. An example of this is when mother was sick with
fever and wants Mattie and grandfather to go to the Ludington s farm to avoid getting
sick. This shows cooperation because
Working from Home Essay
Working from home: the disadvantage Tina DiNunzio HRP7110 Human Resources
Management Jodi Smith October 23, 2014 Working from home can sound like a dream
come true. However, like any job situation there are many disadvantages to home
employment that may become apparent over time. For some, this can mean making a
few adjustments to make the situation more tolerable. For others, the disadvantages can
be so powerful that they can put an end to the home office (Provenzano). As technology,
apps and costs bring people to conclude that working from home would be the best
situation, it s very important to consider the disadvantages of working from home, as
these are often forgotten. These negative aspects can actually... Show more content on

The problem is that by working from home, you tend to take yourself out of the
running for promotions and work rewards (Turcotte). You will also find that in many
cases, the job that you would be promoted into can t be done from home so you simply
won t be considered for it. This is a non issue if you are content staying in the same
position for the duration of your career. If, however, you plan on getting ahead and
moving up in your career field, then working from home could be a problem
(Turcotte). Home employment is sometimes not taken seriously by prospective
employers, and it can be viewed as a gap in the resume (Provenzano). One of the main
reasons people tend to work onsite is because they love doing it with the goal of
getting promoted, so they can climb the corporate ladder. If you are a freelancer or if
you work from home, you might lose sight of these opportunities (Wall). If you do
freelance work, that means you are more of an independent contractor than a regular
employee. Sometimes people with home employment are often looked at as if they
don t do real work (Park). A large majority of the people working at home do not really
feel like professionals despite the size of the work load or opportunities. The main
factor here is that, when you re at home, you feel at home and you may be less
motivated to perform the same as you would in a

Evolution Of Cad And Cam Technology Systems Essay
The high request for ceramic restorations in the posterior and anterior areas has focused
on the evolution of CAD and CAM technology systems. In the early 1980s Pioneered by
Mörmann, the first CAD/CAM system called Cerec System started the era of CAD
/CAM in dentistry. (Mörmann, 2006) The CAD/CAM technology was powered by the
improvement of computing power and specific recovery systems and milling machines.
Therefore, to avoid traditionally digital systems offer the opportunity and analogue

scanner that changes the geometry into digital information that can be prepared by the
computer. 2. Software that processes information and, depending on the application,
produces an information set for the product to be created. 3. A production technology
that converts the data set into the favourite product. (Shenoy and Prabhu, 2015)

varied range of industries, where the software performs controls for defining the best

Capitalism Exposed In Joseph Heller s Catch-22
As Dr. Foster said in his seminar: The 20th Century was the American Century. It was
where it s popular culture, and subsequently the culture that is present today, was
shaped. We re talking about the space race, wars including World War One and Two,
Vietnam war, the cold war, feminism, the civil rights movement, just to name a few.
Catch 22 captures much of America s development between the 1940s 60s through a
satirical perspective of the American ideologies, particularly in regard to World War
Two, and foreshadowed attitudes to the Vietnam war. Heller s protagonist, a World
War Two pilot, recognises that only an insane person would want to fly any more
missions. However, when he tells his superiors this, they say that the fact that he wants
to be grounded proves his sanity, so must keep flying. The popularity of Heller s novel
led to the use of catch 22 in common conversation to describe any impossible
bureaucratic dilemma. An aspect which is frequently over looked in both the book and
when considering America during this period of time is the post world war 2 economic
expansion and economic dream of capitalism and free enterprise through free market.
This economic expansion came at the end of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Capitalism is an economic system where because businesses are privately owned,
supply and demand is created and drives growth. Free enterprise is an economic system
where few restrictions are placed on a business by the government. Capitalism bloomed
after World War Two due to these factors: the distrust of the government built on the
Great Depression; the industrial development during the war; and the fact that the strict
rations were lifted. Businesses were encouraged to grow, as well as individuals to gain
more money across the socio economic spectrum resulting in an increased GI, GDP and
