ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Purpose/Objective  The Business Development Manager will be
responsible for driving business growth and
developing strategic customer relationships in the
Tech, Consumer Durables and Telecom sector for
DP World. Will be responsible for identifying and
capitalizing on business opportunities, expanding
the client base, and establishing DP World as a
preferred logistics partner for customers. The role
requires a deep understanding of the sector's
trends, strong sales and negotiation skills, and the
ability to build and maintain strong relationships
with clients
Key responsibilities Business Development Objectives:

 The primary goal is to expand our customer base,


increase market share, and achieve revenue targets
as per budget
 Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by
proactively identifying and engaging potential
clients through various channels such as cold
calling, networking events, industry conferences,
and referrals. Ensure that the sales cycle of each
opportunity is managed through CRM with regular
 Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations
and proposals to prospective clients, highlighting
the unique value propositions and benefits of our
logistics services
 Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and
insights to the management team, highlighting key
performance metrics, sales achievements, and
areas for improvement
 Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with
clients, ensuring profitability while meeting
customer requirements and market standards

Customer Delight:
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including
operations, customer service, and finance, to
ensure smooth onboarding and seamless delivery
of services to clients. Take part in MBRs and QBRs
with customers
 Establish and maintain strong relationships with
key decision-makers and stakeholders in the
technology and consumer durables sector,
including senior executives, supply chain managers,
and procurement officers
 Market study to understand customer needs,
industry trends, and competitive landscape, and
use this information to develop tailored business
development strategies

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES


Skills and Competencies • Proven track record of successfully driving business
growth and achieving sales targets in the logistics or
related industry, with at least 8-10 years of
experience
• Relevant logistics expertise within identified sub
sectors – Tech, Consumer Durables and Telecom
• Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability
to build rapport, persuade and influence key
stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills,
with the ability to articulate complex logistics
solutions in a clear and compelling manner
• Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset, with
the ability to work independently and meet
deadlines in a fast-paced, target-driven
environment
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales
tools to manage leads, track sales activities, and
generate reports
• Flexibility to travel as needed to meet clients,
attend industry events, and explore new business
opportunities
