 INTRODUCTION
A job advertisement is a print or electronic notification of an intent to hire someone
to perform specific work in a position at a company or organization. Employers use a job
advertisement to request applications from the public or targeted candidates. Normally, a job
advertisement uses sections that give you an overview of essential information about the job.
Most job advertisements have a specified period for you to apply. They also might have
specific application instructions for you to follow. Has 6 structure job advertisement such as
job tittle, job location, duties and responsibilities, job requirement, company and benefits,
and applying instructions. Job advertisement can publish at career site, online job boards,
social media, newsletter and another places. Job advertisement also known as job ad, job
announcement, hiring ad, and employment ad. Information from job advertisement can help
people easy to find their own job through the job requirement. So from that people easy to
know about the job that their to apply. Some job candidates have to be flown in for an
interview.
 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In this modern world, getting a job is very challenging. Perseverance, confidence, trust,
and the ability to manage ambiguity and stress will be needed the most. While in this process,
there are people who will help you and plenty of great advice. Significant life skill that is crucial
for your career success is being able to prepare and execute on your career and professional
growth objectives. One of the hardest jobs to get nowadays is mechanical engineering.
Therefore, our group have been assigned to find the key of success of obtaining the mechanical
engineering job.

The first thing we need to know is how to increase the percentage of getting the
mechanical engineering job. Finding the requirement needed by every company for the job is
a must so that we can be prepared. In this task, we have listed 30 mechanical engineering job
advertisements. Then, we divided the requirements from every job into four types which are
‘technical/speciality requirements’, ‘ICT skills’, ‘communication/interpersonal skills’, and
‘others’. Based on our studies, a lot of the job have the same requirements. Engineering drawing
skills is mostly needed for the technical/speciality requirement. For the ICT skill is able to use
Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. For communication/interpersonal skill is good in English and
able to do work in a team. Lastly, many of the job need to have at least 3 years working
experience.

So, based on the outcomes from the activities we have done in the past few weeks which
are listing requirements from the job advertisement, it shows that all the requirement for the
job is needed to learn so that we can apply for the job. So, by enrolling in a Bachelor Degree
of Mechanical Engineering UiTM Shah Alam, we are surely believed that it helps us to prepare
for the career. The reason is that, a lot of the requirement that is needed by the job is mostly
we will learn it in the program.

Based on the result the assignment given, communication skills is one of the most
important skills that needed to be polished in engineering community today. Good
communication skills produce greater result on our engineering career. There are many
effective ways to improve our communication skills as a future engineer. Try to polish our
introduction first because with good introduction, we will be more confident. It's possible that
the rest of the conversation will go smoothly if we can start a conversation well. Also, with
better confidence in communication will builds a respect from others to us.
 In order to accomplish the assignment given, the most important thing that we conclude
through this task is the power of teamwork. Teamwork played the biggest role in any task given
where we should have to gain more information, generate more idea, and solve problems
throughout this task. As a future engineer, this is one of the characteristics that we should have
in ourselves because without teamwork, we all cannot accomplish the task in the period of the
time given. Besides, we all learn that engineering field provide us so many so many jobs in this
21st century because there are a lot of jobs provided for us in this field.

From this assessment, I have got a lot of information about job that I can apply when I
finish my study. When I do the research about the job advertisement, some of the requirements
is not just need the hard skills that are teachable and measurable abilities but they also need
soft skills regarding to our attitude and how we communicate with people around us. This
include common sense, the ability to deal with people and positive flexible attitude. So, when
study to archive the hard skills at the same time we should practice our soft skills and get better
with it.

Last but not least, we can see that today, the jobs advertisement for mechanical engineer
is everywhere to be seen. Most of them required us to have good interpersonal skills and the
ICT skills in vary. This shows us that in our jobs, knowledge is not everything because we also
need those skills such as communication skills and the way we handle our duty. In order to
achieve that, we must give our all in practicing and applying the skills to our daily life.
