    CIRCULAR
    Room reservation counseling for 2021 admitted B. Tech students (2023-24)

    This is to inform all 2021 admitted B. Tech Indian Category students of the Ladies Hostel that the room
    reservation counselling for the Winter semester-2023-24 will be held on December 18, 2023, from 10:30 AM
    to 8:00 PM. Mock room counselling will be conducted on December 4th, from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

    Students will be checked into the allotted rooms only if the fee payment procedure is complete.
    Room and mess details of fee paid students will be displayed through VTOP students’ login from Dec 24th,
    2023, 2.30 PM onward.

    NCGPA Based Ranking: Priority will be given based on students’ academic performance as well as the Code
    of Conduct. Normalized CGPA of the students’ will be calculated as stated below:
    NCGPA = CGPA X (GROUP TOPPER CGPA / BRANCH TOPPER CGPA)

    Counselling Process:
    1. NCGPA rank of the students taking part in the counselling process will be displayed in their respective
    student login ONE day in advance before Mock room counselling.
    2. Students can select their room partners as per their preferences. Indians can choose NRI & Foreign
    students as their roommates as well.
    3. Student having a higher rank is allowed to group students with lower NCGPA and apply for a shared
    accommodation (2, 4, 6 bedded rooms).

    Application Flow
    1. Login to the Hostel Counselling Portal (Link will be made available in the VTOP spotlight)
    2. Please note your Rank. Read the instructions available as FAQ thoroughly.
    3. Click on ‘Create Basket’. Create the basket for the room type you prefer to stay.
    4. Add group members (friends) you wish to include as in-mates of that respective bed type. Now the
    system will trigger OTP to your friend’s registered VIT email ID.
    5. Your friend can share her consent for joining with you by sharing her OTP.
    6. You may enter the OTP and finalize the request.
    7. Repeat Step 03 to Step 06 for each basket and friends included in the basket
    8. After finalizing all the baskets, click on ‘Block Selection’.
    9. Select the basket you have created, followed by this the system will list the blocks where the
    respective room-bed type is available.
    10. Click ‘Add’ to include this block as one of your preference.
    11. Repeat Step 09 and 10 for providing the list of block preferences.
    12. You can edit the priority.
    13. Now you can log out from the application.

    Note:
    1. OTP will be triggered while adding a friend under various bed types.
    2. Deletion of block choice is not possible. However you can least prioritize the same.

    1. Hostel fee is applicable for 1 semester (5 months) & is inclusive of laundry charges for 22 washes.
    2. Hostel fee is subject to annual escalation.
    3. Monthly change of mess will be facilitated. For Mess upgradation differential fee has to be paid.
    4. NO REFUND is applicable for mess (or) room down gradation as per refund norms.
