Dr. Arun Raj G. R. was born on November 1985 at Kollam district, Kerala state, India.

He did
his graduation (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)) from Sree Narayana Institute of
Ayurvedic Studies and Research, Kollam district, Kerala state, in 2009 and post-graduation in
Kaumarabhritya (Ayurveda Pediatrics) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences at Sree
Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan district, Karnataka state in
2014. He was awarded “Post Graduate Diploma in Management of Reproductive and Child Health
Programmes (PGDMRCH)” jointly by the Indian Institute of Public Health, Delhi, Public Health
Foundation of India and UNICEF (January 2016 to December 2016). He is also accredited as
‘Authorized Developmental Assessment Scales for Indian Infants (DASII) tester’ by Department of
Pediatrics and T.D.H. Morris Child Development Centre, K.E.M. Hospital, Pune on 16/01/2018. He is
also awarded “Post graduate Diploma in Clinical Research & Pharmacovigilance (PGDCRPV)” from
Institute of Clinical Research India, New Delhi (2017-18). He is currently pursuing PhD degree at Parul
University, Vadodara, Gujarat state, India (from 2018 to till date). He was identified as expert by
Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India for developing a Technical Guidelines for integration of AYUSH in
Poshan Abhiyaan in March 2021. He is life member of Indian Pharmacological Society, Indian Public
Health Association, Society for Ethnopharmacology and Indian Academy of Cerebral Palsy. He is editor
/ associate editor of 7 International peer reviewed indexed journals and adjudicated about 90 research
papers till date for PubMed, PubMed Central, Scopus, Web of Science, UGC care listed journals. He
was the principal investigator for major research project on Spastic Cerebral palsy sponsored by Rajiv
Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka state, India (sanctioned year – 2017; completed year -
2020). He has also carried out 4 minor research projects from 2018 to 2021. He has also guided several
post graduate students of Ayurveda. He was also the Dean for Research publications, Sree Dharmasthala
Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan district, Karnataka state, India and also
Member of Research committee, Sree Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and
Hospital, Hassan district, Karnataka state, India. He has published about 93 papers in various national
and international journals. He has contributed a chapter ‘Nutraceuticals and Functional foods’. 1st ed.
Houston-Texas, USA: Recent Progress in Medicinal Plants. Studium Press LLC; Vol 42: 2016. To add,
he has presented 48 papers in different National and International seminars. He has contributed the
chapter ‘Biological Effects of Ayurvedic Formulations’ in the book “Ayurveda in the New Millennium”,
published by CRC Press Taylor & Francis Group 6000 Broken Sound Parkway NW, Suite 300 Boca
Raton, FL 33487-2742, United States. He is the author of ‘Astangahrdaya – A scientific synopsis of the
classic Ayurveda text’ published by CRC Press Taylor & Francis Group 6000 Broken Sound Parkway
NW, Suite 300 Boca Raton, FL 33487-2742, United States in the month of May 2023. He is also the
recipient of ‘Best Doctor Award’ for two consecutive years (2018 and 2019) of Sree Dharmasthala
Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan district, Karnataka state, India. Currently
he is working as Associate Professor and pediatric consultant, Department of Kaumarabhritya
(Ayurveda Pediatrics), Parul Institute of Ayurved and Research, Parul University, Vadodara district,
Gujarat state, Pin code - 391760, India. He is also the member of Institutional Research and publication
committee as well as Institutional Ethics Committee, Parul Institute of Ayurved and Research, Parul
University, Vadodara district, Gujarat state, Pin code - 391760, India. His area of research includes
developmental pediatrics, infant and child nutrition and traditional medicine research in public health.
