• Prior to taking any action in the generator, it must be switched off using the power OFF
switch on the D160 .
• To switch off power to all parts of the system (generator and connected equipment), set
the system switch to the OFF position.
• To prevent unintentional triggering of high voltage or of radiation, set the SS switch (S1)
on the D100 to OFF.
• Remove or install the component only with the generator switched off; when doing this,
observe ESD guidelines.

Jumpers and Bridges:
• With D100, Part No.: 5761270, the D115 board with SMD resistor, R1001, is operated
without change.
• With D100, Part No.: 1171169 und 3775256, the SMD resistor, R1001, (0 Ohm)
(Fig. 11 / p. 22) on the D115 board must be removed (unsoldered).
Replacing the D115
• D115, 2 items Remove the M5 Allen screws (1/Fig. 12 / p. 22) with lock washer and
washer.
• Remove the 5 plastic nuts.
• Disconnect the D115.X20 cable (2/Fig. 12 / p. 22).
• Remove the D115 board off the spacer studs towards the front.
• Apply heat conducting paste to the IGBT module on the new D115 board.
• Insert the new D115 board and loosely fasten it in place with the plastic nuts.
• Tighten the two M5 Allen screws with lock washer and washer through the board
(1/Fig. 12 / p. 22).
• 5 pc. Tighten the plastic screws.
• Plug in the X20 cable to the D115 (2/Fig. 12 / p. 22).
• If needed, plug the disconnected cables back on the D115 per the designations.

NOTE The D165 rectifier board, Rev.01 (Fig. 14 / p. 24) is a larger design
than the D164, Rev.00 (Fig. 13 / p. 24). An additional protective cir-
cuit for the rectifier module has been integrated on the D165,
Rev.01. In a replacement situation, the D165, Rev. 01 is shipped;
this is fully compatible with Rev.00.
NOTE Make sure there is good seating of the XCS cable connection and
of the terminal connector, Part No.: 31 57 174!

80KW) and to Part No.: 97 51 876 (in POLYDOROS SX 50/80) and in the future will be
shipped as the replacement.
In a replacement situation, depending on the generator, program the X200 and X201
jumpers on the D220.

• Insert the new D115 board and loosely fasten it in place with the plastic nuts.
• Tighten the two M5 Allen screws with lock washer and washer through the board

Replacing the D115

• Remove the D165 board with Part No.: 37 74 929 by removing the 3 mounting screws.
T • Place the D165 board with Part No.: 57 61 429 on the diode modules and secure it in
place with the nine M5x10 screws and connect the L1_IN, L2_IN, L3_IN, UZP and UZN
cables and tighten them to a torque of 3Nm.
• Secure the D165 board in place with the 3 mounting screws.

• Remove the D165 board with Part No.: 37 74 929 by removing the 3 mounting screws.
T • Place the D165 board with Part No.: 57 61 429 on the diode modules and secure it in
place with the nine M5x10 screws and connect the L1_IN, L2_IN, L3_IN, UZP and UZN
cables and tighten them to a torque of 3Nm.
• Secure the D165 board in place with the 3 mounting screws.
• Plug the X11, X12, X31 and X22 connectors back in on the D165.
NOTE If the update kit, Part No.: 74 63 859 has already been installed, the
installation parts included in the shipment are not needed. In this
case, replace only the diode modules.
• Remove the three M6x30 spacer studs and place on one washer on each of the thread-
ed studs (1/Fig. 45 / p. 118). Then reinstall the three M6x30 spacer studs.
• Place on the plate for the diode modules included in the shipment (3/Fig. 45 / p. 118).
T • Place the 3 diode modules (3/Fig. 46 / p. 118) included in the shipment on the plate and
secure them with the 6 slotted nuts (2/Fig. 46 / p. 118) and tighten them to a torque of 5
Nm (using the tool that is provided in the shipment).
T • Place the D165 on the diode modules and secure it in place with the nine M5x10 screws
(3/Fig. 47 / p. 119) and connect the L1_IN, L2_IN, L3_IN, UZP and UZN cables and
tighten them to a torque of 3Nm.
• Secure the D165 board in place with the 3 screws (1/Fig. 47 / p. 119).
• Plug the X11, X12, X31 and X22 connectors back in on the D165.
NOTE Make sure there is good contact of the XCS cable connections and
